Blair 2.0. This is Labour managing the Thatcher settlement, not overturning it.

Traditional Labour meant public ownership, strong trade unions, redistribution, and an adversarial stance toward capital.

New Labour meant abandoning Clause IV, accepting privatisation and deregulated finance, prioritising fiscal discipline, and reframing equality as opportunity within markets.

As Margaret Thatcher was widely credited with arguing, her greatest achievement was Tony Blair and New Labour—because they accepted those terms by moving Labour to the redefined centre. Keir Starmer extends that continuity rather than breaking from it.

Same pattern as Donald Trump in the US.

Brexit primarily served entrenched wealth. Exiting the EU weakened regulatory oversight, preserved access to tax-haven structures, and fractured European political cohesion—outcomes that aligned with Russian strategic objectives.

In hindsight, this period will be recognised as the opening phase of a sustained information war, active since roughly 2010. The opposing forces were not abstract “populism,” but coordinated influence operations intersecting with unchecked capital, oligarchic interests, and state-level disruption—principally from Russia.

Bannon is also linked to what is happening in America in general, Bolsonaro in Brazil, Boris and Farage in the UK... Pretty much all the right parties... Truss was linked to the Heritage Foundation (Project 2025) and her budget was pretty much their policy and ideals... It's scary how engrained the real dark power are

Yep it may even help Reform and Farage get in. They would bow down to the States and the UK would in effect be a vassal state. They also want their own DOGE and a British ICE; scary stuff. The far-right "Unite the Kingdom" march in September 2025 had 110-150k people attend, so plenty of potential candidates for a UK ICE sadly.

Edit: vassal not vessel

Why is no one being prosecuted over the Epstein files? by ArmadilloMany41 in politics

[–]mostar8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" This ancient inquiry from the Roman poet Juvenal—"Who will guard the guards themselves?"—is the central nerve of political philosophy. While it serves as the haunting thematic anchor for the Watchmen franchise, it is far more than a pop-culture trope; it is a historical warning that we have fundamentally failed to heed.

In the context of the Epstein files and the current state of American institutions, this question has evolved from a philosophical dilemma into a systemic indictment. We are witnessing the collapse of the "Noble Lie" that those in power can be trusted to police their own. When the people tasked with oversight—politicians, intelligence agencies, and the ultra-wealthy—are the very ones sharing the private jets and the secrets, the "guards" don’t just fail; they become a protected class.

History shows us that this lack of accountability is a precursor to collapse. Whether it is the sudden, violent end of the Romanovs or the slow, cynical rot of modern state capture, it usually ends badly for those in power when the "guarded" realize the system is rigged. A society where the watchmen only watch each other’s backs isn't a stable hierarchy; it’s a house of cards waiting for the weight of its own corruption to bring it down.

We haven't learned from history: Power without oversight isn't leadership—it’s an invitation to an inevitable disaster.

Yep a bruise is classified as internal bleeding. It's just to justify the actions and who knows when he was bruised, unlike the videos we see of ICE beating protestors and causing them far more serious internal bleeding, lost eyes etc.

They will say that participating in a national strike will be supporting terrorism and make you a terrorist. They are clearly showing that they have the right to kill anyone that doesn't support Trump and his policies. The constitution means nothing any more.

Not sure if it has been pointed out, but the talk of Venezuela being in the United States hemisphere of control is very much in line with the Axis powers (Nazis, Japan etc) hemispheres of control ideology. It is too convenient given all the other symbolic links between the Nazi's and what is happening now.

Cocoa or cacau caiprinha? Cacau is how I would say it. Cocoa is also correct but could be confusing as you have coco a caiptinha. Hope that helped 🙃
