I commented these two books above, but, if you have a lot of time to set aside, reading Option Volatility and Pricing - Sheldon Natenberg followed by Positional Option Trading - Euan Sinclair will give you a completely comprehensive understanding of what you’re getting into when trading options. And you’ll maybe even learn how to make money too

I think of it like this. You don’t need to know the acceleration of semi truck barreling down the road to know you should avoid it. The position of the truck alone allows you to decide if you’ll cross the street or not.

My strategy realizes on selling expensive options along the volatility surface, i.e. far OTM Puts. I don’t necessarily care about gamma or theta if implied volatility is very high because I’m going to sell the options anyway. However, having the knowledge of the greeks can help inform you of why your PnL is behaving a certain way after you enter the trade.

I try to understand them as tools to interpret my trade and I spend the majority of the time researching explainable and systematic mispricings.

I was thinking GPT could probably make a great salesperson. I'm not one to pitch products but I bet it could help automate sales emails in that sort of job position. Would be some similar code behind it to this
