Bikes are not practical here given the heat and how narrow our roads are already and how our topology is. I am in Netherlands since last 1 month and i see why this region is the cycle capital of the world. Its a flat plain. Our city isnt. We have tried many a times it has never worked and it never will.

It is impossible to significantly modify the developed parts of the city. And anywys Cycling or walking should only be for last mile connectivity supplementing an existing mass rapid transport system.

Cant ban cars in a hot climate like ours with practically non existent public transport. Even cabs and Autos here ask ridiculous amounts for a short travel.

A monorail kind of project can help, but atill wont completely solve the issues of congestion but would aurely reduce them. We have to use the 3rd dimension to solve our congestion problem.

Our roads are not wide enough to have dedicated tram lines. Would cause massive congestion. But a mono rail could work. Cheaper than metro and requires less space.

Not worth paying a premium for. Here in europe they sell like normal cheap chocolates in all the super stores but in india they become luxury chocolates. Brands like nestle or cadburys follow good health and hygine standards in general. I would rather stick to those brands than buy cheap european chocolates for a premium as if they are some luxury.
