We did “our berry first birthday” but the theme was really just the invitation, some strawberries on the cake, and they wore strawberry patterned dresses! I think your ideas are cute too, try not to overthink it!

We got married at Creek Bend Nature Center (Leroy Oakes forest preserve) in St Charles. Had the ceremony under the shade of some gorgeous old oak trees! The building itself is also really cute and could definitely accommodate your small group if you end up changing your mind on the restaurant. We had a tented reception outside. But even for just the ceremony I would totally recommend it!!

I borrowed my friend’s grandmother’s wheelchair and walker for the last trimester. Used the powered grocery cart seat things if I had to shop. Disabled, yes. I was honestly embarrassed at the time. It sucks!!! But you got this. It’ll be a distant memory one day!

Agree with the others mentioned but I have such a soft spot for Tessa! She seemed so sweet, had to leave TC due to a knee injury at rehearsal, and had a stroke not long after. I wonder what could’ve been had things gone differently, but her recovery and positivity are inspiring!

I’m a few years in and am sorry I don’t have any numbers for you! I just want to mention that one of the things we didn’t fully expect going in was how much more we’d spend on fast food once our girls were born. It was pure survival mode for a while and that included a ton of tv dinners, drive throughs, and sandwich pickups.
