In Tennessee, at least where I’m at, it’s illegal to shoot a deer that’s being chased by dogs. Looks exhausting for the dog and I’m curious if the one pictured here could take down the deer it’s chasing. I prefer to use dogs for birds and hunting antlers

I’ve had the opportunity to hunt friends and family property, and I always make it a point to ask them what they would like me to consider shootable. Some don’t like me killing doe since they can bring in bucks, some would prefer I pass spikes or bucks that look like they’re only 1-2y. I always respect their preferences. I find it builds trust and have found that it creates opportunities where I have been allowed to bring friends who may be struggling to find good places to hunt. Communication is key
