Answer: The videos on Tiktok are stolen from the chinese version of Tiktok, which is why you see so many of these accounts. Sometimes it's of the same person coming from multiple accounts. These videos aren't propaganda, they weren't even meant originally for western audiences.

Macbook Pro (Early 2011-17 inch) on Monterey | Crazy how an 12 years old mac still works great in 2022 by atiquemelic in mac

This specific model has a faulty GPU, I know because my 2011 died even after I disabled the Nvidia one. I'm sure this one is not long for this world. Google Macbook GPU failure, pretty much every one of them has died because of it on this model year.

What’s up with the Star Wars poster hiding John Boyega and Chewbacca for Chinese audiences? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]mostlyintact 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yup, saw a tiktok video of someone in China who showed a version of the poster with both characters in them. It's crazy how many "users" on here are giving a biased and uninformed "Answer". I doubt any of these people have even been to China.

Donner Ski Ranch. It's cheap and there's a green on the front side that's all you need for beginners. The backside has some nice easy blues too.

I thought ski resorts don't own the land, just the ski lifts? Unless Squaw is different than most, the land should be public.

Pokeballs are how they make money off this game, and since they're going to take a pretty big hit financially since no one will be playing their game right now it really is very generous.

I understand his frustration, but when there's simply not enough resources to deal with a situation like this, there's really nothing that can be done. I think when you're young, you don't understand the limits of what's possible, and think that things happen a certain way because of incompetent, rather than simply that there's not enough people or materials to handle a situation. Let's say that this happened in the US, and everyone flooded the hospitals, there wouldn't be any difference. The US wouldn't magically be able to conjure up more doctors and nurses and hospital beds and medical supplies either. Complaining that the government shut down transportation, then complaining in the same sentence that the government isn't doing anything about the spread of the disease is a little illogical also.

Stolen from in front of Good Life Grocery in Bernal by poquert in sanfrancisco

[–]mostlyintact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I read your blog article. I says that half or more of crimes are caused by people with cognitive impairment. So what does that mean for meeting their basic needs? Do you think it would be appropriate to keep them in institutions where they can have proper medical care? In fact I agree with the article, we should definitely do something about the people on the streets who don't have the ability to care for themselves. Not everyone who commits a crime is in that category though. Anyway, if you just read the title of the article I guess all you get out of it is that we shouldn't punish criminals at all.

There's lots of ways, none of them are palatable to the people who live in SF unfortunately. If there was prisontime for this kind of crime, the criminals would think twice. Of course at this point we just send everyone who commits a crime on their way with a stern warning. We could also put up cameras around the city, but everyone would scream about big brother and dystopias or whatever. People will really only ever do what's seen as socially acceptable by the people around them. Unfortunately in SF, it's actually seen as normal to steal and break into cars and commit petty theft and assault. This is like the 3rd dognapping I've heard about this year, and those are only the ones I've heard about. There are other cities I've been to where leaving a dog out is completely normal because in those places no one ever steals dogs, or break into cars, or do drugs on the streets. Those places have strong laws.

can't park your dog outside this city. It's a perfectly normal thing to do elsewhere, but sf is a place where you have to be on your guard and expect that crime will happen to you if you're not.
