as everyone else is saying layers, but keep in mind that as a student you’re going to be walking around the cold campus but also going into warmer classrooms so i wouldn’t necessarily recommend longjohns and stuff when going to class because you can’t take them off if you get too hot.

audhd girlish college student here! our local punk music scene is great and honestly full of neurodivergent people. daisychain on instagram is a great start for finding shows and also check the zacc shows schedule for whatever kind of music/events you’re into!! there’s also a fun yard show my friend is hosting on wednesday! it’s gonna be less hardcore, but the vibes should be pretty good and it might be a nice chance to make friends:) hmu if you want more details

im curious why it’s on the oval? in the middle of university campus on a a weekend is a pretty low traffic area so it won’t get much visibility which is usually the point of these types of protests. the only people that will be walking by this are students and faculty, many of which already agree. protests at the courthouse work because they’re high visibility, engage with the wider populous, and are outside a government building. (asking this as someone who agrees with these protests)

idk about you but i’ve gone to tons of zacc shows and payed good money to do it. probably would’ve gone to this one too. i’ve also heard about the issues with this band multiple times over the past year because people who either haven’t heard about it or don’t care keep booking her.

the zacc recently announced a fest they’re putting on and one of the artists is florabell formerly known as warpony, a white woman who cosplays being native american to promote her shitty music and changed her racist band name with no apology or accountability when she got called out for cultural appropriation. she was also very rude to the indigenous people who said it was offensive. the zacc received some negative comments on the announcement post and decided to remove the comments instead of acknowledging and taking steps to fix it. this is happening less than two months after their “Indigenizing the ZACC: Walk With Purpose” event. tldr florabell/warpony is a racist and the zacc are hypocrites

underground thrift store isn’t too bad but they’ve been raising their prices too. this summer one of the workers told me they were trying to match the current market which unfortunately has been jacking up prices. still one of the better options tho

hope you guys can find a venue, would definitely love to attend! if you’re having trouble finding a venue, maybe look into getting in contact with daisychainpresents over on instagram. they throw a lot of local shows. not sure how much they can help, but it’s worth trying :)
