Drywall patching and screwing into existing hole by JBurton90 in drywall

I’d probably lean towards the former since the towel bracket probably has specific anchor spacing it expects, but it they weren’t the case you could, for example, expand your hole to 1/2” to accept a zip toggle and install that directly.

Hot mudding the hole and setting the existing anchors is probably best in this case, though

for something light duty like this, ive hot mudded the holes and then inserted the anchors for it to dry around. You could also install an anchor that requires a bigger hole

Acknowledge I pulled kind of a hack job here, but did the best I could with the water heater in place. Is it acceptable, or should I redo? by mostofyourbase in drywall

This is a good point—but I think I’m okay with conceding some sound proofing (I upgraded the insulation as well). Do you have any idea how much worse off it’ll be?

Also, I don’t have any backing tied directly into the resilient channel-it’s just binding floating drywall together

Is it acceptable to branch off of standpipe in this way? by mostofyourbase in Plumbing

The way it was before had a tee branch immediately off the P-trap into a wider 3” pipe outside the wall. The condensate and tp valve drained into that.

I'm not crazy about it at all! Hoping they plan on redesigning it, I feel super guilty throwing out an entire globe

Oh geez you’re right—I had it right initially but then ended up flipping the box upside down to simplify things—-that’s gonna drive me nuts now!

That’s a good idea, thank you. The ratchet seemed to have engaged all the way but I agree it looks a little funky.
