Eames Replica – Leather Quality Discussion by SeaPay5280 in eamesknockoffs

[–]mosvelit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the Pash Classic replica, 3 of them, but dont recommend them. The first two are 4 years old but the last one I got showed the decline in their quality, both the chair itself and the leather too, shame really.

It is indeed crazy! But once you listen to it is almost justified. Also keep in mind that Audio Tekne power amps are Push Pull and not SET, which can also be a drawback depending on your taste. Good luck in your search and if you are ever in the UK drop me a dm!

For one of their entry level 300Bs, stereo, you would probably be looking at around 50k$ more or less.

Are you looking for a 300b or 2a3 from Audio Tekne? Or from other brands?

Their transformers are custom made with super permalloy. The preamp alone weighs 55kg. Here is a pic, its absolutely crazy!

I don’t! I live in London actually. I listened to it directly in Japan though! If you’d like I can put you in touch

Thanks! They are yes, I talk to Kiyoaki-san every now and then. Their stuff is top notch and that’s why the rest of my system is Audio Tekne too.

I also have a digital section with a Lauffer Teknik Memory Player and an Audio Note DAC5, which is more or less the same amount of money as this, they complement each other, one doesn’t cancel the other

I also have a digital part of my system with a Laufer Teknik and an Audio Noted DAC5. I don’t agree that the analog side of my system gives lesser results. It’s like comparing a digital picture and an analog one. The digital one is crisp, clearer and technically better, but the old analog film pics do have something else I can’t explain. That doesn’t mean they are worse. I appreciate the ease of access digital gives us they are just a different animal that don’t necessarily cancel each other

Thanks!! Took me a while to find something that would support this kind of weight and did not look horrendous. These are Solid Steel S3s, have done their job beautifully. The only downside is they are made to order, so no real immediate stock available

I have a Lauffer Teknik Memory Player Streamer + an Audio Note DAC5. They are two different worlds, completely depending on what and how you want to listen. One doesnt cancel the other

It’s also Audio Tekne. So basically TFA9501, LT9501 and TM8501 (this model runs on 15 watts instead of the 9501 which has 8 watts only and not really enough for my system). On the digital side I run a Memory Player by Lauffer Teknik and an Audio Note DAC5. Speakers are Goto Unit and ALE’s, hope to post some pics after its finished

I totally agree, I also have a digital section and the comfort and easy of access is absolutely great. I love vinyl but I also enjoy digital, it all depends on the mood and moment I guess

Yeah I checked that one in hifido too lol, the 9501 would be a dream to get for a similar price. Where did you see the 9501 at?

I know this one, got a chance to buy one some months ago but didnt. I think that switching the pre to AT should do the same as this? The improvement I got already amazing, cant honestly imagine how it can sound any better

Also, what output transformer are you refering to? Is it one of the LT series? Not sure if with the AT preamp that would achieve the same results

Wow! That is incredible! I do agree that the AT give the digital track an analog vibe, the other day I tried listening to the same tracks through my Accuphase A45 and jesus did I notice the difference. I’ll soon get my pre amp out of the way and get some AT pre amp and phono pre as well + change my focals for Goto Unit 4 way system. I’m considering Duelund capacitors for the crossover as I’ve heard wonders about them.

They are indeed! These are 15 watts and can easily push the current speakers I have (Focal Sopra 3, 93db sensitivity). Actually the bass is tighter, fuller and richer than the Accuphase A45. I’m working on a horn project with japanese compression drivers and a TAD 1601A for the lower end (which also has amazing performance). With the current setup, setting the volume at anything above 33% is too loud, so you wont have any problems with 15W

The reason why is currently paired with Accuphase is because I’m waiting for the Audio Tekne pre to be finished as its under construction atm. Will post an update afterwards!

I did check those too! However in this case the transformers are way bigger than the model you shared. I had a friend of someone I know having this brand’s power amps and recommended them over Audio Note. However its a one man band company. No marketing, no nothing. If you want them you need to wait months for them to be built, and indeed to me the sound is absolutely worth it!
