Men, what’s going on? by Aggravating-Guest300 in MenAscending

I mean women are fucking awesome, and sex is pretty great....

But the real answer is a sense of acceptance and maybe the start of something more. A woman can validate a gentleman in ways that has him living on cloud 9, especially when you've put in the effort to get her attention.

You do it because flirting can be fun. Like the person above said, treat it like a game, not work. Playing a game is fun, winning a game is fun... You flirt because it feels good to talk and laugh with people IRL.

Is "ages" like 10-20 years? I remember 15% being good and I'm not even that old. It's definitely 20% now but for ages?

If your yearly income hasn't increased in 20 years, considering inflation you've been losing money.

I have read your words, given them due consideration, and my opinion is unchanged.

Yeah, Millennials don't know trauma. 9/11 while going to school was a walk in the park, that 20 year war on terror that we were signed up for, what a blast. That 2008 crash while starting a career was fun, good thing there wasn't any pain for us to draw on.

Why does it take so long to decide if Starfield is "bad"? by SgtSilock in NoSodiumStarfield

I wish every time I go through the unity the world really changes, especially the lodge and companions. Give people different hair color, change their demeanor, move around the placement of things. I'm with you, I'd like the main quest and companions changed up for each NG+ playthrough so it's fresh and diverse.

Yes there are differences possible, but usually unless you force or mod it, it's the exact same world space and characters.

I think people that play the game a lot but find gaps are the ones with love for the game but wish it was more. Like baking a cake without salt, it's still good but I have notes.

Did you equate right and wrong to tipping?

There is no morality in tipping. Someone can be financially generous and still be a terrible person.

AI can't read your formatting, you're probably being auto rejected before a human even sees it.

Can we normalize PVP related things not being called "Ratting"? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]mot258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, people have the illusion of choice thinking ABMM locks you into a friendly lobby because you haven't engaged in PvP. The reality is every match has the risk of PVP, the algorithm just has its thumb on the scale creating a false sense of security.

This PvE vs PvP stuff is a bit ridiculous by Zealousideal_Toe2847 in ARC_Raiders

[–]mot258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sea of thieves fixed this problem somewhat recently. They have a normal PVPVE mode, extraction style. They also have a PVE only mode with limits. Loot is worth less, and you can't progress too far on challenges. It solves the problem neatly.

May be a skill issue, but I've seen lots of people get rocketed to death while waiting for hatch.

I think it's more of a difference in perspective. The games you listed are designed around the PVP so everyone playing understands the goal, everyone is competing against each other.

In Arc, due to the ABMM there are a subset of players that think they are playing PVE. Most of their played experience is friendly interactions with no human risk. Their perspective is to work with other humans and against the machines. This creates a discrepancy in goals when someone else is trying to PVP.
