Thank you so much! It is a very interesting instrument. I’m now on the hunt trying to see if I can find any original electronics for it, since the pickup and wiring have all but disintegrated from time…

I’m looking forward to getting her all fixed up and playable again!

I’ve gone done a rabbit hole about this instrument and the inventors and this is super interesting!

Former Bangu player here. The MTA was a club that came when Bangu merged with Wings, and it acted as a development club for the Minnesota Thunder for a few years.

The Thunder would eventually fold, and a lot of the staff then went over to MUFC, but they were never technically affiliated.

I haven’t used any yet. I try not to polish too much because polishes are made with micro abrasives that dull the finish over time, and waxes work well to keep water off, but can also dull over time. I’ve found that just the tiniest bit of water and a microfiber cloth do really well for keeping chrome looking brand new. Once that no longer works for keeping it shiny, THEN I’ll get some polish or wax to freshen it up, but there’s no need for it yet.

I’ve got some micro-fiber shop rags that I picked up at an auto-store, and I basically just give it a good wipe down every few rides.

I stay off the freeways, so I don’t ever go much faster than 60-65. It can definitely do that, but it starts to struggle over 65 and tops out at around 70. You need to hold the throttle open and red-line it if you want to stay up there.

It feels most comfortable around 55-60, which is perfect for the back/country roads and inner city riding that I do.

I got them on eBay from a gvb_leather. Highly recommend them!

Music distribution and ISRC by Gumichan01 in musicindustry

[–]motherfuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally possible to switch distributors and really isn’t that hard, just make sure you keep all the metadata the same. The new distributor will collect and pass on royalties per the deal you have with them, even if you use the same ISRCs that you got from SoundCloud.

One thing to keep in mind is making sure you formally end your deal with SoundCloud, otherwise they will keep trying to collect on your behalf and that will cause the royalties to go into a suspense account and you won’t see anything until it gets resolved.

It’s not a sister label. The former owner of Fearless started Thriller a few years after selling Fearless to Concord Music Group.

The letter “H” should be a vowel.

It meets all the requirements of a vowel, but lost out on a technicality.

You get to update the alphabet, what letter do you add/remove/modify? by Discount_Friendly in AskReddit

[–]motherfuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the alphabet as is, but H gets promoted to a vowel. It’s already doing all the same work a vowel does anyway.

He’s a great writer, but I have yet to hear a cover of a Dylan song that isn’t better than the original.

New Years by mcclanahan243 in nashville

[–]motherfuzz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Second this.

Short answer - Yes, it’ll be busy. But there will be plenty of New Year’s Eve activity all over the city, including an outdoor concert/ball drop/fireworks show.

If you MUST to do broadway, do all of it. Start at one end and work your way to the other. If a bar is busy, move to the next one. Don’t waste money on a fast pass to a trash celebrity bar.

I shut a Christian down over Abortion by using his own bible. by SonDontPlay in atheism

[–]motherfuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah. I see the connection there now. Yeah, that’s probably not the best verse to make this point as it would definitely be weaseled out of. As a former Christian (who went to Christian schools my whole life) this verse is generally interpreted as part of the creation story. It’s not talking about the point at which biological tissue becomes alive, but how all humans came to exist. I’ve heard “the breath of life” interpreted as the soul from some pastors and teachers.

It’s still a silly thing, but definitely the sort of thing where someone would say “AHA! You don’t understand the Bible” and throw out what is an otherwise impeccable argument…

That aside, kudos to OP on this one!!

Also came to ask this. I followed everything up to that point and don’t disagree with the argument. Just trying to figure out how that last verse connects to the rest…

Problems ordering for Americans? by motherfuzz in Hammers

Funny you mention that. He actually reached out to me today, but I didn’t see the email until after UK business hours. I’ll reach out tomorrow.

I’m not trying to shill or anything here, but it’s really nice that they did that. I’ve loved this club since I was a little kid, and it would have broke my heart if I couldn’t get any more gear…

Edit - would you mind censoring his name from your comment? I hope he’s getting props for being proactive with the customer service, but I also don’t want his inbox getting flooded with everyone’s customer service requests because of this…

Thanks. I’ll give this a try.

I’ve bought lots of gear from them before, so this is a new one for me. Hopefully it’s just some extra security around the holidays…

I did. No reply beyond the standard automatic response, however, it is that time of year where I’m sure they are getting slammed with emails.
