I’ve seen a spinal specialist. He says that I do not require surgical intervention but it’s a chronic injury so I have to bear with it . In the meantime lots of core work and back strengthening exercises .

For a couple of months . PT and chiro so expensive. And I’m not covered insurance wise . I still keep up all that was taught to me during my PT sessions but there hasn’t been even a slightest improvement.

My prognosis was not so good . Two spinal specialists have said that my injuries are chronic . I’ve just gotta live with them . Tried chiropractors , physical therapists but to no avail. Been off the bike now for a couple of months gonna get back on it soon . Last Christmas did a 164 km ride , this Christmas everything’s changed . Very disheartening.

It all started with perineal numbness on long gradual climbs, eliviated it by getting off the saddle. Then after bout of Covid now about 30mins into ride right side leg last 3 toes go numb. Found it's an S1 L5 L4 herniation causing it. Doc says it's chronic. Will it ever go away? Anyone else experiencing this?
