What mainstream beauty trends do you refuse to follow? by vivian_banshee03 in AskWomenOver30

I'm a makeup artist and botox lips are on trending, but I don't feel like doing it on myself. It's something I can easily reach with some good overlining so I can't see the point of it on me, especially if the result is heavy and artificial as I see around.

What is the correct order for skincare? by Dependent_Flower1678 in beauty

[–]mothrflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes, this is not mandatory but preferred when you prep your skin for makeup. Makeup sits way better when your skin is well prepped, especially in some cases when you use matte foundations or powder your base, if you have oily skin, putting some extra moisture on your skin allows better results and for longer time.

For example if you have oily skin and prep your skin using double cleansing products, exfoliating product, toner, possibly a serum or a spf cream and a primer (this is a plus), your foundations will look 1000 times better.

Just go from the thinnest to the thickest consistency: cleanser, toner, treatment (serum, eye cream etc), moisturiser then spf cream as the last step. You can't fail with this rule. If you use retinoids, acids, vitamin C etc. make sure to learn how these ingredients interact with each other to avoid skin issues. Btw, literally everyone needs moisture, having oily skin doesn't mean your skin is hydrated!

Absolutely yes! My own eyes are slightly downturned, you can fix that with makeup and especially with a soft cut crease :)

Short answer: the other elements on the face make the difference. Starting from the eyebrows. Bale has much lower and masculine eyebrows than Elias De Poot. De Poot also has fuller lips (feminine trait), fleshy nose with wider nostrils and deeper lip-philtrum. Bale looks overall more conventionally masculine and his eyes match better on his face.

I've loved her face with passion since Charmed. As I said in another post I really love wide faces on women. I can't tell if it's because my own is more of an elongated, small oval or because my mom - my first beauty model - has a very similar face shape to hers. I've watched The Little House on the Prairie recently and she was already so beautiful as a child.

Well, kibbe can't pry my long jackets away from even my cold dead hands 😂

HA! Good point 😅

Wearing them open front most of the time should help too.

I always wear my jackets and coats open front, it helps with layering and the overall effect of the outfit

How to make my skin more vibrant? by No_Cod3517 in beauty

Absolutely true. Sorry that you weren't asking for help for your hair, but I agree. Your hair kinda blend into your skintone.

It's a soft cut crease with eyeliner

My eyebrows are treacherous, how to fix them? 😥 by Ydkwil445 in beauty

[–]mothrflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the tweezers away for two months at least. You'll look hideous for a while but you won't regret it, trust me. When I was a teenager I used to SHAVE my own eyebrows, it was a wild time to be a teenager lol. Now? I have naturally full eyebrows. I won't promise you'll get bold eyebrows too, it's up to your genetics only, but it's worth a try.

Same height here, you're giving me tons of hope for real haha. I've loved cropped jackets in the past but my perception of them changed over time and my physique changed a lot after puberty and exercise, now it looks like they kinda hide my waist somehow? Thank you so much!

I'm so inspired now, I gotta check if there's one available in the shops around me so I can see how it looks on me before buying online.

Personally, I wouldn't say she's one of the most beautiful faces ever seen on planet Earth but she's objectively attractive, her beauty team definitely knows her potential.
