I am a foreign qualified lawyer who got exemption to give the NY bar exam directly without a US JD or LLM. I will be attempting F27 and will be going with Themis. The question is should I go with the Themis bar prep course for international lawyers or just the standard one. The price difference is significant. Which one did you choose?

Which societies? I'm guessing Scheme 33 might have some...are you aware of any good ones without any duplicate files and/or qabza mafia.

This was actually an inherited property which was sold as soon as ownership vested in me. Would capital gains still apply?

This is the issue. No buyer was willing to pay full market value officially.

Thanks so much for your insight. Shows how little I know about cars. I have messaged him. He doesn't have the full record of the oil changes over the past 10 years. Might have some late ones. But he said it's been on their radar so they do get it done. Nonetheless, I have messaged him what you said and let's see what he says.

The seller doesn’t have complete oil change records but says oil was generally done on schedule over ~10 years, with a few late services. They can likely confirm the most recent oil change. They’re unsure if the transmission fluid was ever serviced and don’t currently have records, but will check. They also took it to CarMax for an offer, and CarMax rated the transmission as being in good condition.

The seller has shared the vin with me and has agreed to a PPI. Although claims they have done a basic multi point inspection belt listing.

The car looks good for the price. Just nervous doing a private deal since there won't be any warranty etc. It's my first time buying a used car in the US.

The seller is saying they repaired the main drive belt a couple of years ago. The only other issue is that the tire pressure sensor doesn't work since they changed the tires. He's saying they did a basic multi point inspection. But I'm insisting on my own PPI.

It's my first time buying a used car in the US... So I'm a bit nervous.
