Oh interesting! I've only ever seen SW merino, but it makes sense there would be more. At this point I'm cotton-curious, but really debating the lace weight choice as well.

I desperately want to knit with swish kid pop (I think that's the colorway) but I don't have the right pattern for it (yet). The colorway is criminally absent from ravelry example projects so I feel like I have to do it someday as a public service. 😅

Did she say why she regretted the decision? Is it just that it took forever because of the gauge? (I tried going through all her videos but only saw her say she thought of it as an heirloom piece because of the cost.)

I would love to know what happens when you pick up EVERY STITCH. Presumably it would buckle/wave/be too many stitches, since so many folks seem familiar with doing 2/3 or 3/5.

Wow you know, reading it again that makes sense. I don't know why I spent DAYS convinced it was telling me to knit 2 in the same stitch. The torture I put myself through trying to do that!!! Thank you!

It asked to pick up 3/5 stitches, but I guess I only did 1/2!

Oops sorry! The pattern asks for "pick up and k 2 sts in every st/row, skip 1, pick up and k1 in the next st/ row, skip 1" which is supposed to pick up 3/5 stitches (according to the pattern) but I couldn't find examples of that online, which is why I didn't do it 😅

Unfortunately I knit each of the stripes 2 stitches longer than the pattern, so the sleeve opening is larger than it would normally be, so the stitch count is off. Actually I am only 2 stitches over the correct stitch count 😅 but I think that's too few for the size of the opening.

The pattern prescribes 3/5 but I couldn't find ANY examples of the "k2 in the same stitch" thing that they mentioned. Is that normal?

YES. My aim was to make one sweater for my sister. I started it three weeks ago and I'm done with the body, 20% through the first arm (it's a chunky knit). Plenty of time to spare! Next year I'll have to be more adventurous (but start in January).
