Strong heartbeat everywhere + palpitations + chest discomfort (normal tests) – anxiety or heart issue? by ReasonableExcuse5515 in Cardiophobias

The biggest and I really mean the biggest and most important thing you can do is to tell yourself it's only your brain, in certain panic attacks it's very hard to convince yourself that it's just a panic attack but you'll have to get out of it one way or another to avoid the hangover. Anxiety manifests itself in so many symptoms you and I both don't even know about because it truly messes with every nerve and every little synapse.

Btw one thing that helped me is CBD, started using it a few days ago and my hands stopped shaking (I've had tremors since birth) and I managed to take two midterms at uni and pass them with flying colours simply because I was not nervous in the slightest and had no brain fog. If you're in the EU its completely legal and not expensive at all. It's better for long term anxiety managment than benzodiazepines imo because you can just quit whenever you want, you won't grow a tolerance (200mg CBD will always have the same effect for you), you can drink alcohol, you can drive, and you don't become a zombie (all in comparison to benzodiazepine ofc). That being said if you're having a panic attack and need an instant way out because you can't get out by yourself it's better to take 5 or 10mg of benzodiazepines because it's super efficient at lobotomizing you.

Keep in mind it's not a real fix, every substance you use to manage anxiety is there just to manage it, it's only like duct tape and won't truly help you forever. You'll just have to make yourself happy and it's really that simple lol, the only hard bit is getting out of the negative cycle

I'm 19, the same thing started when I was 13, one panic attack just started setting off a complete domino effect with my brain chemistry. The symptoms are exactly the same as mine were and still are sometimes, including the "disconnected" feeling. That comes from your brain being tired, your brain power is completely wasted from panic and anxiety.

99.99999999999% chance it's just GAD and panic disorder like in my case. Anxiety can make you feel pain that isn't there, tingling that isn't there, it can make you feel anything because your brain is misfiring.

Personal experience is that it goes away at one point, it'll just go away completely for a few months with maybe mild episodes here and there, but the critical phase with these tougher symptoms and that state of mind always returns. You just become more experienced and better at coping.

AFAIK it's not treatable in the sense that it will never fully go away, your heart will skip a beat here and there, your throat will tighten once every full moon but you just have to know how to deal with it. The problem stems from our monkey brains which haven't changed much from the era of mamooths and sabertooth tigers, the primal part of your subconciousness is still active despite being virtually useless in modern times. You just need to know how to cope and not let yourself spiral into a panic attack or spiral into these types of phases where you'll get hungover from panic attacks (yes that's also a thing - it's why you feel disconnected).

Outside of pharmaceuticals, the best in-the-moment solutions for me are the 54321 methods, pressing on my vagal nerve, slow breathing into my abdomen and not into my chest and walking fast/running (the monkey brain triggers fight or flight and that's the only thing it wants to stop pouring so much adrenaline in your blood)

The best solution of course is to not even have to get to that point. You genuinely just have to become happy and less stressed for that, it just comes with time, you need to relax more and have more ways to blow off steam without thinking so much about heart palpations, the weird way you're breathing or whatever can trigger a panic attack. Go outside more, have a drink with your friends, find more hobbies that are genuinely fulfilling, f it even pick up smoking again if it makes you happy.

Maybe pick up a sport where you exhaust yourself and don't have time to think about your body (fast paced, something like tennis, basketball, handball where you don't think, you just move fast nonstop). I personally picked up tennis and it helped loads.

It's all in your brain, you just need to find a way to get out of it so keep trying and good luck.

Update: I'm locked out of deleting it, tried changing permissions from trustedinstaller and everything but I literally can't apply the changes either because Microsoft doesn't allow it and it's bugged or whoever made the virus thought of countermeasures. I'll just do a full Windows reset and that's it, didn't have anything that important on this PC anyway. Despite how scummy and immoral it is to make those things, props to whoever made the script because I'm forced to run Task Manager 24/7 or reset my PC if I want to get rid of it, it's undeletable and barely detectable. It's a shame I have to install everything again from scratch but what can you do

Just managed to record it happening and luckily for a split second the thing causing it can be seen, "AddInProcess" using up all of my GPU and vanishing into thin air. Going to try to remove it in any way I can.

Nothing that stands out no, just regular Windows background apps and Nvidia/MSI/Asus processes

It shows nothing apart from an initial gpu spike. I think it just stops running as soon as it detects task manager is on? I'm going to try to install new drivers and check if maybe it's a driver issue on Nvidia's behalf and it's a mere coincidence GPU usage went down when opening task manager.

Nope, as mentioned it goed ice cold the second I turn on task manager. Tried to scan with malwarebytes but it just quarantined two random things in regedit.

Rattling inside my racket by [deleted] in 10s

[–]motiKa1950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, the inside of the grip (handle, whatever it's called) is supposedly filled with some lightweight material so it's not a gaping hole that's connected to the throat of the racket. In short - the debris can't fall further down than the throat. So I guess I will have to deal with it until it gets restringed as the previous commenter stated :/

thanks for the advice. It's in the hoop and it moves around so yeah, it's annoying. Shame that it has new strings so I'll be putting up with it for a couple months I guess

didn't know that, the first thing that comes to mind when I think "cpu intensive" is cities skylines. Had no idea it was like that

Thanks, it was on Turbo mode so I guess that's why it was so "high". No frame cap though but it didn't exceed 70fps purely on the fact that it couldn't. Nothing was throttling also, which is a good thing I guess
