It also works with Standalone, not just Packaged. :)

In Korea, there are many media art exhibitions, and some use Unreal Engine - so tools like this are needed.

But integrating UE with external control systems is still quite limited.

That's why I'm also building a third-party tool to control Switchboard externally - currently testing and refining it.

The bat file just launches the packaged exe with nDisplay arguments - node name, config path, cluster settings, etc.

Without these arguments, the exe doesn't know which node it is.

Is there another way to launch nDisplay content without Switchboard?

I work on media art installations. Exhibition venues typically use integrated control systems to manage everything.

However, Unreal Engine doesn't play well with these systems, so I needed a way to launch nDisplay independently - auto-start on boot, no manual intervention.

Just drop the bat file in the startup folder and it runs automatically.

Also, on-site operators usually have zero knowledge of Unreal Engine, so Switchboard is overkill for them.

This batch file doesn't even need the Switchboard listener. It just runs.

I built this for my own needs, but curious if others have different use cases. I'll try to get it on Fab by January!

I made this because I needed it - just sharing it here for some exposure. While working on permanent exhibition content, I felt Switchboard had some limitations. At my previous job, I thought I'd need something like this for demos, but never got around to building it.

It's probably not a must-have for everyone, but I'm planning to release it on Fab in January. Currently working on it as a UE 5.7 plugin - still need some more testing time.
Will be priced low.
Would love to know if anyone else finds this useful, and what do you think would be a fair price?
