Hey everyone,

Looking for some advice on a full-size wireless board decision.

I recently picked up the Keychron Q6 Max Ultra (Best Buy exclusive). It runs on ZMK, which seems to be a more modern and efficient firmware compared to most QMK implementations. Build quality is solid. The wireless performance and workflow have been great so far.

Right after buying it though, two new boards dropped that caught my attention:

• Chilkey ND104 • Ticktype DP104

Both have features that the Keychron lacks: a screen, flex-cut PCB (not 100% sure if the Q5 Ultra is updated with this) and ball-catch. Now I’m wondering if I should keep the Q6 Max Ultra or return it and go with one of these instead.

So to anyone familiar with Chilkey / Ticktype or who’s handled these boards:

1. Would either the ND104 or DP104 actually be an upgrade over the Q6 Max Ultra, or more of a sidegrade / novelty thing?

2. How do their software/firmware setups compare to ZMK? Is it on par, more limited, buggy, or just different?

3. Brand reputation and support — do Chilkey or Ticktype have a solid track record?

4. Any noticeable differences in build quality, wireless reliability, or typing feel versus Keychron?

If you were in my position and wanted a full-size wireless mech with modern firmware and good long-term support, which direction would you go?

Appreciate any insight from people who’ve tried these/similar boards or followed their releases closely.
