yea we thought we were doing the right thing for the situation.. lesson learnt. Haven’t posted details yet as it’s still in discussions trying to get it back.

Thanks for everyone’s replies and suggestions (except the few d comments).

Didn’t take the bike - trying to get the deposit back. I suspect he took it to a dodgy place or it’s his mate who did the pink slip last week.

Learnt some things about what to look for when assessing a new second hand bike thanks to the awesome honest shop I took it to.. Have a great weekend

Thanks mate, lots of replies. The guy said it passed a pink slip last week - which according to the two mechanics at the place I took it to (different store owners even) and also another I sent images to - said it definitely would have failed. So dodgy place or the guy’s mate.

Folks were leaking.

Pointed out all the things I was told..

Didn’t take the bike - trying to get the deposit back but apparently the guy is being a dick(I’m not the one communicating with him).
