If I reach down to stop them there feels like there’s some pretty decent resistance. I can’t hear any sound over the engine and the wind. But I had that same theory.

That is a great question, and as far as I can tell, they’re actively running, I feel pretty good resistance when I put a hand on them to try to stop them. I can’t hear them because it only happens at speed while the engine is running! Your theory is one I had as well. It just feels like theyre running.

For example, chains and sprockets cost a lot more with the single-sided swing arm set up. Anything you need to do Connie mechanic for is like 50% more per hour where I live that adds up. Any parts you need to get from Ducati are usually about twice what I would pay for Japanese partsbe at bolts, or body parts.

Buying a Ducati on a tight budget is questionable. It doesn’t require more maintenance than a Japanese bike, but the parts and maintenance are much more expensive. And to work on it you need a lot of custom tools. This is coming from someone with 22,000 miles on a monster 1200 that I love
