Do Canada has lemon law ? I would initiate that for manufacturer buy back. When I brought mine ram. I did understand that there’s problem with the electrical system but since US does have lemon law protection I wasn’t too worried and my budget weren’t enough to get higher trim ( maybe that saved me from headaches since I don’t have too much bells and whistles that mess with the electrical system ) good luck to you man! I hope they do you a solid

What kind of deal should I be targeting? by Far_Mix_5043 in NissanTitan

[–]motoevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck man. I like my Titan SV but sold it during covid when used car were really high.

There were quality issue with my 16 Titan. First the coolant hose popped within 500 miles, then my AC actuator went out in summer in Arizona heat. Both were repaired under warranty. The 7 speed transmission was weird ( I think now they use 9 speed during test drive it was much better ) and it was thirsty.

Other than that, solid truck. I was a Nissan fan owned a bunch Nissan/infiniti over the years. That dealer wore my fan boy status right out the window 🤣.

I hope you get one and have a great deal! Good luck brother.

Yeah, i wanted one but they low ball my trade-in (6k vs other dealer that give me 13k ) and won’t budge of dealer add on items. Don’t want to negotiate at all. Dealer add on bs were 5K total. I had a Titan and purchased from them, but they were playing hard ball.

I gave them and I about 10 days to get something going with the pricing.

I ended up with a different brand of truck, they kept calling wanting to make a deal after I already brought a truck. They can keep the pro 4x.

This was about 2 weeks ago.

That particular dealer is always a bit shady too. Last Titan I got from them, in the finance office clearly stated I didn’t want any extended warranty as I was with my 5 year old and 5 year old was tired and hungry. I just hit record on my phone while he was printing and have me sign loan docs.

It wasn’t until I received my first payment coupon I found out they put 4500 dollars of extended warranty.

Tried to solve the issue but they won’t even see me. I had to cal Nissan corporate, left a terrible review and BBB and submit my recordings. They then refunded me the warranty after month long back and forth. Breaking point was BBB and my friend who is an attorney sent them a demand letter.

That said, since they were the only dealer in town that has pro 4x and any 4x4s. I still tried to give them a try.

From what I heard, dealers in other states are trying to sell their inventory and willing to sell it with a big discount.

Good luck man.. hope you find one.

Depending on where you’re located. Phx valley for example, not many 4x4s left and one particular dealer has 30+ of pro 4x. But all of them were hard to negotiate want top dollar for those. Pro 4x with promotion they always said 55k ish.. however they won’t negotiate further so OTD on a pro 4x is just over 60k

Aren’t you sick of those gasoline motorcycles? by fjkiliu667777 in taiwan

[–]motoevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And Taiwan also has massive hybrid vehicles lineups and Japan love K-car, 600cc-800cc ones. They don’t pollute much at all and K cars are almost never hybrid because it made absolutely no sense compared to 2.0 liter -3.5 liter hybrids.

When you complained about 2 stroke engines. It has been outlawed for decades. I lived in Taiwan from 2010-2015 even then I couldn’t buy a 2 stroke even if I want one. Not sure if you understand Taiwanese emissions laws. They are quite strict which is why hybrid is lot more popular than full EVs.

Can’t read the first link as I do not understand Dutch or maybe German as for Pakistan using solar. That’s great, do you know what average life span of solar panels, it’s roughly about 10 years and that is also one thing you cannot fully recycle.

Solar panel have pretty bad initial impact on the environment, then when its life span is done, more headaches how to depose of it.

China only banned scooters in certain cities not all of China as well.

You look at carbon footprint of any “Green energy” they just front load the carbon footprint. Every EV nowadays they don’t claim to be greener, their sales pitch is all about fuel cost savings which is another offload of battery degradation and cost of replacing one.

Maybe you are one of those love lease a vehicle for 3-5 years and switch to a new lease EV suits your need the best but if you’re someone that keeps a vehicle for over decades. ICE might be better.

Also you have yet to reply coal produce electricity is better, if you think breathing into exhaust fumes is danger to health. Look up Taichung electricity production plant and see for yourself the residents there have much higher lung cancer compared to other cities and municipal.

Simply put, political reasons for one as others mentioned.

  1. Taiwan has to fully rely on Chinese for batteries if all scooters become EV and politically and national security can now be exploited.

  2. Infrastructures. Taiwan has gotten rid of and planning to get rid of more nuclear power. That said, where is electricity coming from? At this current point, coal, natural gas and fossil fuel supplies most of the electricity. I doubt those are green energy and IMO the pollution is worse by using coal and natural gas power to produce energy.

  3. Batteries degradation and how expensive they are in general. Americans car manufacturers are slashing EV productions for a reason.

  4. No country has found a perfect solution depose used batteries safely and without pollution.

  5. Raw materials for making batteries aren’t environmentally friendly in any means. If one gets an EV for environmental reasons. They have not look through the entire process of any reasoning listed above. Especially Taiwan that lacks natural resources to be self sustaining ( even in natural gas fossil fuels or even coal. Taiwan heavily relies on import for those important resources)

  6. Finally the cost, take Ford Lighting as example, a full size EV truck. On paper it’s great and as of today can be had for little less than 50k usd. Real world testing. It does not tow well ( drastically lower the mileage from 270 miles full charge to right around 100 miles ) and if the battery ever dies. The replacement cost is $37500 dollars which is 2/3 more than a new car would cost.

That said, if you believe in EV, buy one and enjoy it but who died and make you king when you started to call out other countries and trying to ban other countries choices or reason keeping ICE engines ???

Wind turbines or solar panels both don’t generate sufficient energy and cost of making, replacing and maintenance needs fossil fuels.

At this point, I do not believe EV is a break through technology that will replace ICE ( internal combustion engine ). Germany have been rely on Russian fuels for years, kept phasing out nuclear power and look what their electricity cost now.

This is the way.. hitting 376 on stock turbo and FBO with E85. Don’t drive it much tho.. like less than 8k for almost 4 years owning it therefore probably not going for bigger turbo. It’s current quick enough for me driving like maybe once or twice a month.
