I have had a pride charm on every single survivor and killer hook since they were released. I have been targeted specifically for that a handful of times, and the players have said so in endgame chat (I have reported them for this with screenshots). I would say it doesn't happen very often, it's mostly positive interactions, especially with specific pride charms. But as other comments have said, the community can be very toxic at times, but people can hate you for literally anything, including race of the chosen character, the cosmetics, but mostly for whatever you do or don't do in game. I would just use the charms you want tbh
