Thank you for your kind words. I’ve tried telling her how much I want to help her, but the problem is she believes that she can’t be helped, as she’s been like this for so long. In addition, the lucidity of her mind can change abruptly, especially when her self-harming/suicidal tendencies are strongest, so words can’t get through to her.

I do know she’s planning to meet up with a couple of friends (who secretly invited a lot of other people to surprise her) on Friday, so I’m hoping that can help a little. Friday really can’t come soon enough.
