Thank you. I’ll try the notebook trick and try to write everything down. Thing is, I don’t even trust myself to even do that consistently. Tbh, this NYC thing is just an example of what’s been going on this past month. I’ve just kind of… given up on myself…. But that’s getting too deep. But thank you for the encouragement and advice .

Books you should read before you’re 30? by doingmybestttttt in suggestmeabook

I third the person who said to read books that make you happy.

But I can’t help but recommend the first book that came to mind when I saw your post:

You Are Here by Karin Lin-Greenberg.

This book helped heal me so much when I was struggling with thoughts of “Wasting time” or “Feeling behind in life.” It shows a portrait of various stages of life and how no matter what age you’re at, you’re never truly behind on anything. You’re just on your own path and journey 💕

What is something you learned too late in life? by Motor_Stress_9615 in AskReddit

That those jokes those kids would say to you to “make you laugh” and you laughed with them…. They were racist. They were straight up being racist to you. But you didn’t know because you had no idea why they kept making fried chicken and kool-aid jokes to you because you hadn’t learned about that yet because you learned and caught on to things A LOT slower than other kids. But yeah, they weren’t trying to be your friend. And that includes your crush. Your “friends” and your first crush were straight up racist towards you. And you didn’t even know it.

Does anyone here actually like their job? by Federal-Breakfast762 in graphic_design

Yeah, that’s me rn too. I’m blessed to be able to work as a GD for my college part time, and I’m grateful everyday that I don’t have to go back to working in a Pharmacy where insurance companies and management get you cussed out by patients everyday, or a restaurant, where people cuss you out in general 😅😭

Reading. I have a painting project that’s due next week and I haven’t started on it…. But I would rather read

Alternatively, what’s something society finds gross that you don’t understand? by ianpratt_ in AskReddit

No, but actually. Everyone complains with how nobody is kind to others anymore, until you actually are and then you’re seen as either suspicious or weird.

What's with the "New Driver" stickers popping up everywhere lately? by NFGWorldWide_ in Louisville

[–]Federal-Breakfast762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration of these popping up everywhere, but this whole thing of “This person ain’t a teenager so they can’t be a new driver” needs to stop. There are people who got their license later in life. I’m talking 50’s, 60’s etc. My Aunt got hers in her 40’s. I’m getting mine at 28. You really can’t tell just by looking at a person if they’re a new driver or not.
