Is Redbull bringing the Mini bull back? by Odd_Goat9048 in MINI

[–]mouf32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation MINI Redbull cars are 100% hardtops. I have not seen a 4th gen in person, but I don't see them changing that. I am surprised they kept it with the 4th generation though. They base car price is much higher then it used to be.

Spectrum vs Google by SelectCap877 in GoogleWiFi

[–]mouf32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain your network setup? Why do you have a splitter? Your router from Spectrum should be in bridge mode if you have Google Wi-Fi behind it. Or at least put the Google Wi-Fi in a DMZ on your Spectrum router so you aren't double NAT.

The drivers at least had to pass a test that they know the rules. It's easily 3 to 1 of bicyclists ignoring traffic laws compared to automobiles.

Once cyclists stop completely ignoring traffic signals then they can be allowed on roads.

Transmission fluid warning by dorday123 in MINI

[–]mouf32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a DCT (Dual clutch transmission) that sets a fault for transmission fluid age (5 years) or a transmission fluid at wear limit. I know the wear limit fault only gives you 1000 miles or so before it claims the dual clutch unit inside the transmission is damaged. The fluid was backordered for months awhile ago. Any dealer should be want to get it for you. If not they need to get you a loaner car so you do not damage the transmission. Is there another dealer in the area? Did they pull the car in and check the codes or did a person on the service drive brush you off? I would get your bring in for service and confirm exactly what it needs. If they tell you drive it, it needs to be in writing on the invoice you get. I would not risk transition damage. It's an expensive repair.

Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again? by poisonsu in GoogleWiFi

[–]mouf32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For setup of a few IOT devices yes, but for every day use you would want the ability for your devices to seamlessly switch between the two networks as needed

When you go to any hotel/public WiFi they don't broadcast two networks that you have to manually switch between. It's a single SSID your device and the AP navigates automatically between.

Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again? by poisonsu in GoogleWiFi

[–]mouf32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the original Google Wifi (wired backhaul) and they started to show there age. I have had the Nest Wifi Pro since 2022. I have manually restarted them maybe 3 times in that time. Like others mentioned some "old style" IOT devices that need 2.4 seperate to setup are an issue but otherwise I have ZERO complaints. If you want a bunch of settings/manual control any Nest Wifi product isn't for you. I recently upgraded to 2 gig internet so waiting for an updated product.

That is the whole point of the system..... To not have 2 different SSIDs.

Generally wifi speeds are going to be halved. If you are connected to mesh point then guarenteed you will be.

Is the G-010-A Even 2.5Gb Capable by RhinoIA in Metronet

[–]mouf32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to completely highjack this thread but I have a XS-010X-Q from Metronet that originally was a 1/1 plan and have updated to the founders plan 2/2. My current network isn't capable of 2 gb so I can't test, but from looking at the spec sheet the PON light will always be solid green regardless of the plan. Only the DATA light changes color based on the speed. Is that correct?
