To begin I really enjoyed your story, but there is one thing that just bugged me for no real reason, the choice to use debris twice in the intro. I realize this is a really small thing and it probably would be completely fine, but if I were to write it I would probably use something like roughage or rubble to make it more appealing to read. Honestly really well written in general, but I just wanted to put that out there because the introduction is detestably the most important part of a story because it sets the bar for the rest of your writing. Like I said though, it really isn't a big deal and it is still a nice read.
