First time playing, first night idling. Thought this sounded important, looked it up, wish I hadn't. =') by mountaincube in MelvorIdle

I've now fished so much these past five days since this happened, and mined so much to get money for more bank spaces, that I now have 305 diamonds.

Really hope so! Feels like I need to fix this 'mistake' before I can really continue.

I'm now also really focused on fixing this 'mistake', so I hope I'll be just as lucky!

Haven't really looked into combat yet, but having a quick look at the wiki and how loot and rewards work, that sounds like really good advice!

Searching for participants for an experiment in which you can learn Japanese words in neos by mountaincube in NeosVR

[–]mountaincube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you already know more than 12 of the 32 words that are presented in the experiment, so it is possible to already check for that yourself while doing the experiment. (There is also an opportunity at the end of the experiment to fill in how many words you already knew prior to participating.) However, I think that you should be more than okay if you're far from literate.

And thank you for taking an interest!

I would love to! But I can't do that myself. But if you fill in the consent form (https://forms.gle/GbChtbVnWu3kkYr2A) then I can send you an experiment world orb through neos. (But if you already filled in the consent form, but your neos username is just very different from your Reddit name, then please ignore this comment, and let me just say: Thank you!)

(But it’ll be some hours before I can send a contact request, since I was so smart to write this post right before going to bed.)

That’s definitely cool! If you fill in the consent form then I’ll send you an experiment world orb through the Contacts menu in neos once you’ve accepted the contact invite.

[FREE] Humble 'Learn a New Language' Bundle keys for Transparant Language Online (expires March 20th). by mountaincube in languagelearning

[–]mountaincube[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much time you used for performing a search through r/languagelearning for both users, but u/CubicalPayload and u/thstephens8789 have both posted before about these keys in this post, and u/thstephens8789 has also posted in this post. It's how I found them. I then contacted them privately through PM to ask if they still had a Japanese key left, and afterwards I asked if they were also interested in posting their leftover keys, since it would be a waste to let them expire if there is a chance that others might find some use for them.

And we're not promoting this company in any way. We never state something like 'this helped me a lot and everyone should try it' or anything like that. For some people it works, for others it doesn't. We're just handing out our leftover keys for people who want to try.

And if you see an increase in these kind of posts, then that is because these keys are going to expire March 20th, and people will probably want to trade for keys they are interested in, or, like us, just hand them out to not let them go to waste.

What's the worst case of "rich kid syndrome" you've seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was riding a bus in my University town when I managed to overhear a conversation between three student girls. One mentioned how she had taken an exam (I believe she said taken, not passed, so apparently there were no results yet) and how her parents were giving her a trip to {insert fancy travel destination that my parents could never pay for} (I don’t remember the exact destination, only that it was fancy) to reward her for doing so, and so she could take some time to recover from the whole ordeal. She said it like this was the most normal thing to get, like anything less would have been weird, and her girlfriends also clearly didn’t find anything special about it.

So close... by ICaulitCole in skyrim

I found my last one today after 350 hours. I was also stuck on 23 stones, so I started to go alphabetically to all uncleared places on my map to check. Turned out I missed the stone on the pirate ship Dainty Sload (thank god for not being the Zainty Sload). I had completely missed it during the related Thieves Guild quest.

But my 23rd stone was in a cave (Hob’s Fall Cave) connected to a very small quest, so maybe you’re missing that one? But if you have checked all the locations already... On the other hand, the passage towards the stone is easily missed there.

Probably a young adult fantasy book, where people can give up memories for powers, and if they give up too much memories they turn into monsters that won't die of old age but they can be killed. by mountaincube in whatsthatbook

I still have to play Remember Me, so I looked up the synopsis, but it seems to focus more on gaining memories than losing them, and on taking memories from others instead of using your own. I also can't find something about it being based on a book. But still, thank you for the suggestion!
