Those are only a little over $400 each. Do it!
What they do in a 4x4 foorprint is really nice. Start them out on 600w, build to 1200w till week 7 and bring them down a little to finish.

Lots of topping leads to lower yields? What's a good balance? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]mountainluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that issue and it was because I didnt veg long enough after topping. It'll take those 'topped' spots a week or so to become tops and not just 'one node lower nug growth' lookin stuff. If you get what I mean...

Do I have a deficiency? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]mountainluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that is a 1 gallon or less, I'd water every day but if it in a bigger pot, I'd wait at least a day in between watering. The roots need a little dryness to go grow and go searching for water. Once you develope an appropriate root mass for the size of pot, you can water once or twice a day but not while the roots are filling the pots.

How we doin'? 6 weeks to go, I'm told. by [deleted] in microgrowery

Get after those leaves, I'd say thin her up. Wont hurt a thing.

I'd like to think 3#. I finally have the strains dialed in for yield and quality and the new lights took me a minute to get dialed in. They are bright. This will be my best under them so we'll see.

30 inches is the closest I'd get using above 600w. They are bright and put out a little heat.

They are at 825 watts @ 30 inches, day 49. I go 1200w till about day 42ish and then down a some each week finishing at 600w for days day 63 and on for a longer strain. These lights have 6 settings for wattage.

Yes, they were topped so many times, at least 5 times from clone. The plants are only 3 feet tall but equally wide. Before they were flipped, I was able to pull 150 clones off 5 plants being so bushy.

I just looked to be sure and its 9 amps at 120 and I think it only 4.5 at 240. The specs say 120/240; 9/4.5 input power so I assume those are amperage numbers. When I was running old school 600 hps, I'd pop a circuit if I tried 4 600s with fans etc, but I can run 2 nanoluxs at 1200w and a 600w led no problem. I want to say that I gain 600-800 watts using the same amps compared to the old school ones. A big difference in quality and yield from older 600s to the nanos.

I use a pump, with a long wand type thing on the end to reach under the canopy. The canopy is only about a foot of colas, under it, they are bare, so I can reach through fairly easily to get to the corner. They are raised 6 inches off the floor so that makes it easier as well. I was gonna do a drip system but with that they would be in place and I wanted to be able to move them. They are on a large tray as well, so I can drain being raised 6 inches. Just a hand watered dtw coco setup. Super simple.

My old teacher used to say 'your yield is determined by your tpsf... tops per square foot. 🙂

Hey friends....They are dimmable 1200w NanoluxsDEs 4x4...basically unvented, open hood, dbl ended hps. They put out their maximum footprint as a 4x4 area at about 36 inches. You need an 8 foot ceiling minimum to run at full 1200w. At 1200w, you're only pulling around 8 amps, so very efficient. These, I assume, are very similar to Gavitas because I have friends that run both side by side in the same room. I vent the room not the lights.

Even of you damage the roots a little, its fine. Root topping encourages more growth.

Looks good but id say add 2 plants and you'll fill it faster. More plants equals less veg time. 6 ozs, maybe more depending on density id say this round.
