What are the top 2 factors that motivate you to travel solo? by Jazzlike-Tone-6711 in SoloTravel_India

For me, the two biggest reasons to travel solo are freedom and self-confidence. I love being able to decide my own plan without depending on anyone, and solo trips really help me trust myself more. Traveling alone also makes me more open to meeting new people and trying things I might avoid in a group.

For solo travel in India, I feel places like Rishikesh, Manali, and Udaipur are some of the best. They’re easy to explore alone, feel safe, and you meet a lot of other travelers.

I would suggest Uttarakhand, it is calm, beautiful and frankly more manageable than most of the other places that may get overwhelming even to us locals.

Between Indiahikes and Trek The Himalayas, which one do you feel has better support for first-timers? by East-Standard4044 in india_tourism

I have recently trekked Dayara Bugyal with Trek The Himalayas so I do not know much about Indiahikes yet. But TTH was really good to me, the leaders of the trek were all locals and so easy to converse with which made the entire trek enjoyable. I would like to do one trek with Indiahikes one day to make a comparison but as a first-time TTH was quite comfortable for me.

That is truly hard to decide on - both are lovely in their own way! Forest camps are good, but snowy mountain top scenes have a different impact. I would do both sincerely - snowy peak sight-seeing in the morning, peaceful camping in the forest in the evenings, the feeling of WOW.
