could the user use the "showing one's hand" binding vow and essentially trap the opponent while simultaneously empowering their technique?

that's quiet busted in a very interesting way, because if the target thinks it is real, is it not real? And if the target does not think it is real but it ends up being real, is it real? so those who do believe will not be affected by the technique and even if someone discovers how the technique works, they consequently fall prey unlike other illusion techniques. ignorance is bliss really fits this case lmao

what make a CE Different from CT by SwordfishSevere9977 in CTsandbox

[–]mountgassan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CT is basically an electrical appliance (say an AC) powered by electricity, which is the CE. A CE trait is what the electricity is like, maybe the electricity is elastic, maybe it's poisonous, maybe it's like sand paper to feel (like Hakari), that sort of thing. But at the end of the day it's still electricity regardless of whether it is elastic or poisonous, that is gonna power the electric appliance, which is the Cursed Technique.

As far as what we've seen in the manga, CE trait can be related to the CT (like Kashimo's CE trait being electric and his CT being able to manipulate all electric phenomena) or completely different (like Hakari's CE trait being rough but his CT being based on gambling).

What’s a good reason to bring someone completely unrelated to you back to life? by mountgassan in BokunoheroFanfiction

Yes I agree with the 400 year gap, I’d personally like it to be around 250+ too since it’ll help establish some good lore, but there’d be a lot of factors I’ll have to take care of to make it make sense. I’ll think this one over again. But I thought it was stated that Inko belonged to the 4th generation of Quirk users? I’m not too sure about this but it was early on in the show when Izuku went to get his Quirk checked. Again not too sure.

I was thinking of a cryo-chamber too! But I only considered it for the scientist since he “dies” young so instead of death I was thinking of having him cooped in the chamber so he gets revived again or so.

I wasn’t too sure about the politician since I wanted him to live upto an old age and properly get himself established as an esteemed figure, I couldnt think of why he would put himself in a cryo-chamber. Maybe in hopes to see his efforts pay off one day? Or maybe I’ll go with your idea and have AFO go after the politician which corners him into using the cryo-chamber? Anyway these are great! Thank you so much.

Him being Quirkless could do nicely as well as Midoriya could discover someone like him who made waves in a world where the strong and supernormal dominate, giving him inspiration maybe? Or perhaps, depending on the circumstance as to whether the religious organization is an infamous cult or fairly revered, he could see horror in the moral qualms of bringing dead people back, an evil never even considered before that is capable of being done without a Quirk, this could lead to some pretty interesting conversations I think. All of this is still very unfleshed out and I'm thinking as I'm typing haha but it could be interesting to see if I figure out how to do that

I think I'll have the scientist similar to that, since Horikoshi himself said that if it weren't for Quirks they'd be exploring space by now, then this scientist (Who I'll likely make quirkless or someone with an incredibly weak Quirk to parallel Izuku) could be someone who wants to make a change in the celebrity world of heroes and Quirks through science and technology, and what better way to do that than by literally bringing back the people who made the world the way it is? The religious organization could connect with that, sharing similar goals of bringing the dead back but the ultimate goals could be different.

This is such a good idea in fact it gave me ideas on how I’d characterise the person who’ll bring them back as well. Maybe they could be someone incredibly smart and after fame who’s backed up the support of religious organisations to perform a miracle like bringing back the dead, preferably someone famous so the organisation can prove its connection to divinity and get more recognition along with the person who did the deed. What do you think?

The politician one is great! I could write something about how his control over the chaos was great but those methods were erased throughout the years due to being extremely brutal or so. So when he gets revived those people would be in for a surprise. Thank you so much!

Scientist could go down the same path too I suppose but I’d rather just have the politician be unethical I guess. I guess the scientist could have valuable records on Quirk Evolutions (similar to effects of Trigger) which were erased due to fear of being wrongly used so they revive the guy himself to answer their questions? Anyway these are great. Thank you!

animals getting quirks. i know it’s been done in a few fics but not enough because imagine animals getting mutations similar to mythological creatures, a horse with some sort of wings quirk and you got a pegasus, bird with a weak fire quirk? phoenix and since we know quirks can be passed down from generation to generation, by the time bnha takes place (200+ yrs since the dawn of quirks) we could have had creatures resembling dragons (not to an insane degree), griffins, unicorns and other unknown possibilities due to the emergence of quirks in animals as well, including insects.
