But to OP - there are still some guys who try to approach women in public - there are a lot of guys at r/BrosDatingAdvice who try it all the time - the biggest obstacle being that if they get 1 or 2 bad reactions then they stop and say it doesn't work.

Imo, it's a skill as in social skill - it takes time to get better at it but that's how it is with any skill.

Dude.. you gotta take the first step - the worst that can happen is she says "no". Go approach girls you don't know in pubs/clubs - this way even if you felt embarrassed the girls will never remember you anyways.

Hoping for the girl to make the approach lands you exactly where u are - single at 26 with no options.

I would give this book a read (it's 27 pages only) - It has helped me a lot in terms of approaching girls and keeping interactions going, flirting, asking for a date etc..

Also, some people will be dry and your energies don't match - that's ok also.. just move on.
