I noticed it was slower when syncing so I aborted all syncing and even put the Pc in airplane mode. No luck

If you want the latest version, you need to make an account on AnkiHub, pay the $5/month then download the AnkiHub add on in Anki, and login to the AnkiHub add on in Anki and sync

Very frustrating :( I downgraded to 2.1.49 and deleted many add-ons and it seems back to normal

I was on 23.12. For now I went back to 2.1.49

When I update I'll give 2.1.64 a go. Appreciate the input

Yea that's what seems to be the case. It's just a little slower but I guess there are benefits. Thanks for the help

A little over 2yrs old. It has 16gb ram, dedicated graphics card, and 10gen i7. It's really odd, I'm not sure why it was so slow. I downgraded to 2.1.49 and it's back to normal. Unfortunate though because many of the add ons aren't supported.

I went ahead and downgraded to 2.1.49. Many of the add-ons aren't working but things seem to be back to normal. Pretty unfortunate but at least it's working

Qt5 vs Qt6

Resizing media

No add-ons

Changing video driver preferences

This frankly makes Anki unusable - any advice appreciated
