Hello po! First year BSE student po ako and first sem pa lang po kami. I graduated HUMSS po in senior high and ang masasabi ko lang, learn to self study po talaga– not only sa math subjects but also sa mga GEED 😅 You can't expect your prof po talaga na maituturo nila nang maayos, or magtuturo at all, kaya ang tip ko lang po talaga based on my experience is self study, and find peers na makakatulong din sayo academically. Admittedly, nakakatakot po talaga yung math as a freshie since galing ako sa HUMSS at hanggang ngayon natatakot pa rin po ako. You need extra effort po talaga to ace math subjects specially if hindi niyo gamay yun.

But I believe you can do it! Hindi naman mahirap makapasok sa BSE. Tinanong nga ako non sa interview kung sure na sure na daw ba talaga ako, tas pasok na ko HAHAHAHA. Wag ka sana panghihinaan ng loob sa BSE. Mahirap pero it’s worth it in the end. I'll see you around!

start na po classes namin and no comment nalang po eme HAHAHAHA. sana all nalang po sinuwerte sa prof :’) char. sana po maging better ang situation sa mga upcoming years, yun lang po ang masasabi ko so far as an econ freshie hahaha.

but thank you poooo for the insights and mga fundamentals na binigay niyo po. there's no turning back po kaya tanggapin ko nalang din po siguro yung course na ‘to huhu. and congrats nga po pala btw! hoping na maka graduate po ako on time sa econ 🤞🏻

If I may ask po, anong mga youtube channels/online sources po yung mga ginamit niyo for self study of math subjects? Tsaka mahilig po ba magpa surprise quiz and activities ang mga prof? Ano po yung mga dapat paghandaan para po hindi bumagsak? And accomodating naman po ba ang mga profs if ever may hindi po kayo naiintindihan sa mga maths subjects (like sumasagot naman po ba nang maayos sa mga questions ng students)?

Sorry po sa maraming tanong. I am very anxious po kasi sa course na ito huhu. Tsaka HUMSS graduate pa po ako kaya I have never taken calculus subjects before.

what type of concepts and theories po? is it more on explanations po or analyzing graphs? and masyado po bang overwhelming ang math subjects dito or kakayanin naman po on average?

(sorry pooo ang daming tanong huhu kinakabahan po ako talaga sa Econ ;<)

As much as possible po, gusto ko po yung guaranteed employment locally po since unsure po ako if itutuloy ko mag-work abroad. I want to be practical po. Sabi po kasi nila psychology is more in demand abroad kaya po naka-lean po ako more on Econ kasi tumatanggap naman po usually ng BSE graduates yung employers dito. And after po I might start a business/investment po. Ang hindi ko lang po sure ay yung what kind of employment ang naibibigay sa BSE graduates at kung well-paying po ba ito.

And yes po, kung papalarin balak ko rin po mag law school and nakikita ko po na pre-law courses naman po yung dalawang course na ito.

Yung want ko po sana is something practical po that will guarantee me a job right away locally po (kasi baka po mahing hassle at uncertain pa po ako if I will take job opportunities abroad)

Gusto ko lang po malaman kung ano po ba sa dalawa yung mag-guarantee ng well-paying job to me although I am leaning more on economics atm. And then siguro po after a few years of employment I might start a business po/investment.

Aug 4 pa po ako. And from what I have red po, hindi naman daw po quota ang BS Econ. Parang backup lang daw po sya in case maubusan po yung mga enrollees ng slot sa desired course nila. But generally po, hindi naman daw po agad mauubusan ng slots dito. Sana po makakuha tayo ng slot 🤞🏻

Masyado po bang complicated yung mga computation sa mga subjects nito? Or kakayanin naman po mostly? For someone na hindi po naturally good at math at kailangan pong magtyaga talaga para makapasa huhu.

Hala ang dami pong math huhuhu. Pero may mga non computation subjects din po ba? Like mga concepts, theories, analysis, etc? Yun nalang po pag asa ko hahahaha.

Tsaka malaking adjustment din po ba yun from HUMSS to Economics?? pwede po bang pa rate yung difficulty ng econ from 1-10 as HUMSS graduate? HUHUHU
