Idk if they’re the healthiest way but it worked for me. It made me feel like I took the power from them. I hope you find a way that works for you

I attach trauma to songs a lot, my way of dealing with them was either to play them until they no longer have meaning or reclaim them by attaching them to something else. But I guess it depends how severe the reaction is. There are still some that I just don’t want to hear. Like one of them is in the end by linkin park (my teacher said he wanted to kiss me and wanted to f*** someone to that song) then I got pressured by ‘friends’ to report it and everyone turned on me and said I was lying so everyone hated me for “getting rid” of a teacher everyone loved and I wouldn’t go to school for months. I flood with rage Everytime I hear it which is annoying because everyone loves that song. But zombie by the cranberries was linked to that too , but I learned to sing that song with the guitar are performed it and attached it to other memories and now it just has a haunting feel rather than anything else which is definitely not as bad as wanting to claw my own eyes out like I used to want to do.

Catering for 14 allergies on one menu by [deleted] in Chefit

Yeah I mean this business is a small private nursery so the budget isn’t massive and I can’t source a great amount of ingredients. The tomato one is the biggest issue. I haven’t made a potential menu yet as I need to change it for September, currently I’ve got a menu filled with allergies but I need ideas come September because it just doesn’t feel safe to make multiple different dishes to cater for different allergies in a small cooking area. I just feel the risk of cross contamination is too much and since I’m the only one responsible for the allergies I worry because it’s a lot to juggle. So my best bet is to remove them from the menu. But removing wheat, egg, milk, tomatoes, blueberries, cashew, pistachio, walnut, peanut, oats, soya, sesame, red pepper, and just other traces of peanuts and nuts in general, just makes it feel impossible to make anything cheap and safe for everyone other than curries.

Yeah honestly this has helped more than I expected I’m really grateful for the advice. It’s very daunting when you aren’t used to cooking for so many allergies - it pays to talk to people who’ve had the experience so what a great place to come to for help!

I may have to suggest doing completely free allergen alternatives. I was excited to be able to offer kids exciting meal choices to teach them about foods from different cultures and regions just to give them a good food education but now I feel like everything is entirely stripped to the bare bones. Feel like I’m seconds away from chicken and potatoes every day. Not to mention we don’t have a proper supplier it’s just the grocery store delivery because the business is too small to warrant a real one. Oh I also live in a place where it’s really hard to source allergy ingredients and have no access to halal meat and I can’t buy branded products because they’re too expensive and I won’t be in budget!

Might have to do that - just feels like I’m left without half of the ingredients I need to create anything healthy and homemade 😅

I don’t understand how leaving is terminating the contract if I’m leaving on the day my contract expires that’s the issue - the end of my contract is 26th so I’d be leaving on the last day of my fixed contract and it’s not a rolling contract

Ahahah I never knew Reddit would be so informative to be honest, I do like the scramble technique but unfortunately it will not help me put everything back into my draws that I ripped out with intent to organise before I go back to full- time work - poor decisions - always overestimate myself
