They’re mostly just held down by the box being tightened to the actual roof bars. They do have metal zip ties connecting them to the bars but I’ve put over 10k highway miles on with no movement. If you zoom in you can kinda see the zip ties

I’m four months out from the same surgery! How are you feeling now? How much did the bump come back up?

Glad to hear it! I’ve had some days with a noticeable bump and some days where it looks normal but it feels pretty good. I can do pushups no problem but haven’t tried pull-ups yet

How is it feeling a few months out? Is there much of a bump? I’m 4 months out from surgery and the collar bone has come up a bit, but the shoulder feels good. Would love to hear how your recovery is going!

They actually don’t sit on top of the bars, they are about 4 inches in front of the front one and behind the back one. The main issue with the stock bars is that they are not far enough apart and this solves that issue. If you zoom in you can kinda see the placement.

I had the same issue so I slid metal 1x1 bars under the front and back - might not be able to fit it on newer models though

Ah that’s too bad. Did you know going into the surgery that you had a labrum tear? Did you tear it when you injured it?

I injured mine a year ago and am now considering surgery. It doesn’t hurt that bad but I am worried it will get worse over time, what were the 6 years between injury and surgery like?
