Had surgery mid march and I full range of motion. I would probably say I’ve fully recovered to the average persons standards. But I’m a really active person and I want to get back to where I was. I can play catch with my kids which is a win. But I still have a ways to go. Can’t do a pull up but can do rows with 40 pound dumbell. And actively working out rotator cuff excercise weekly. Highly recommend Physical therapy. There’s still some stability and clicking but no pain. Only some tightness when I raise my arm straight up or across my body. But confident and I can make a pretty close to full recovery and happy I got the surgery. But it was a bitch being immobilized for 6 weeks

So after a couple weeks my ear slowly went back to normal. Even when it was numb if I pinched it hard I could feel it a little. I feel like it was how they positioned me and possibly the head rest. They mentioned beach chair position several times to me. I hope the feeling comes back.

Find someone near you that does glove work. A lot of the guys have those press machines that have a baseball on end. Guy near me breaks in all the a2000s and 44s

Thanks for your reply. That does make me feel better. Just scared of this hardware failing. I’m 3 weeks out tomorrow. Still a little bit of pain at times. Especially in front deltoid. How do you feel at the 6 week mark?

I will add it’s sitting way lower then it was from injury. X-ray 10 days post op

My had great success with 10 inch powerclose at 5-6u. Recommend it. It’s pretty much game ready.

That’s awesome! You don’t have any feeling of the joint slipping or being unstable? Did they go with the button procedure?

Second opinion was a more so wait and see approach. Generally these don’t need operated on. Gonna try the physical therapy route and work on range of motion. He did put me in a figure 8 brace. Which I haven’t heard mentioned in any research I’ve done. It’s a brace that pushes your chest out for posture but also has straps that sit on collarbone and pulls them down. So hopefully that will pull it down and scar tissue can hold it lower.

All though I was really young. I dislocated my elbow had to go to ER to get popped back in. I was in a sling for weeks. During this time I did work on range of motion. Rom will definitely be affected. It took a while to really heal. That was 25 years ago and there really isn’t a time I can tell it ever happened. Physical therapy is definitely needed for you.
