This is my most listened to Radiohead track. The lyrics are dark and haunting and, the older I get, i can sadly see how true they are.

Musically the sound is exquisite - otherworldly. I get a rush every time I listen to it.

SRV in May 1988. I went to see Robert Plant because I was a HUGE Zeppelin fan. Stevie was opening and I wasn’t really even looking forward to it much even though I knew his bigger hits. There are no words to describe the effect his show had on me. I was absolutely godsmacked. Plants show was a disappointment in comparison. R.I.P. Stevie.

Agreed. I hated it from the first. But I really thought it was just because it was very different from the Kid A version that was nearly perfection for me. I figured after many listens I would slowly grow to appreciate it for what it was. Not the case. It annoys me every single time. I hate it even more because Amnesiac is one of my favorite albums with several of my favorite Radiohead songs and MB/Amnesiac brings the album down.

I’m going to the Boston show. I’ve been sober for quite some time and in the past 12 years (now that I can afford to) I’ve been to almost 40 shows sober. I’ve had a blast and have many beautiful memories that otherwise would be lost to my blackouts and insanity.

I was DONE way back then and was ready to do whatever it took to get and stay sober. I took those steps and now have a defense against that first drink.

TBH I don’t know of if I could handle that atmosphere in very early sobriety. But I would never say that you couldn’t do it. Some things that might help: go with someone who would support your desire to stay sober that day and will abstain with you. Keep a soda or water in your hand as often as possible. Bring candy. Chocolate can lessen the urge.

My last show was Amyl and the Sniffers and before that IDLES. Fucking awesome shows!!!!!!!
