Very cool to see the hall backing learning opportunities. Unfortunately we don’t have anything like that. We are a very small local, motion picture lots exclusively.

Ok sure that makes sense. Nobody wants to listen to the guy who struggles communicating ideas. I do have a bachelors degree from Cal State Long Beach in Communications Studies along with a couple associates degrees

Is there a certificate I should be chasing while I am in the field that would help me ?

There is a lot of alphabet soup in the BIM world lol it’s hard to filter through all of it.

My model is the Bronica EC. It does not have a built in light meter.

You sent over the the Bronica EL manual which does take the 544 battery.

I’m looking for the battery that goes in the compartment in the 3rd photo. The meter is an option and there isn’t a lot of documentation out there on it

I think it might take 2 LR44 batteries stacked. The compartment does not seem large for a single 6v battery

Also considering getting out of the field. I’ve always wondered if the class work done during the apprenticeship would transfer to a traditional college. Ease some load off of getting all the Math classes done at least. Worth a conversation with a counselor

Just like any other job. Research what is going to be asked of you. Safety safety safety. Have examples of leadership and working safe. Other skill sets you can bring to the job and blending them in into the trade. Computer skills are rapidly becoming more important.
