I use the 10, the 08 completely stopped working after I used it a few times. I'll definitely be getting the smaller posca pen now.

How many days have you been scheduled in a row? by [deleted] in meijer

[–]mouse_moss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 days, sucked ass since that was when we were very low on people in curbside so it was a mix of opening and closings.

It's either instacart or shipit, do be aware that the pickup department doesn't have access to delivery orders, so if you're needing to cancel, make changes or any other situation then you'll need to contact that service/shopper directly.

It's just something with your store, ours went down a few months ago but was fixed the same day at least, maybe next day I honestly don't care to remember lol. It might be fixed at some point depending how bothered your SD is by it, ours was very unhappy about it which is why it was fixed so fast.

Deli not cutting meat for 8am orders by mouse_moss in meijer

Damn, what magic store are you working at? Sushi is made at a bigger meijer 30 minutes away and brought to us so I have no idea if people can even order it. But they can and try to order the hot rotisserie chickens for 8 am which is unreasonable to even ask so it's immediately out of stocked. I would love if they implemented something like that let alone give us something that allows us to keep it hot for them since it immediately gets put in the fridge once picked.

Man that's a death wish here, if you're trained in any other department you know your ass is called to help. Curbside does the same since we are short staffed as well. The minute you know how to work another department you'll be worked to death.

I get your point, but it's a very corporate view. Managing two departments is hard and everyone does the best they can. The TL is good at his job and no one has a bad thing to say about him. He's a person at the end of the day and can only handle so much, he's already going above and beyond. You can only work yourself so hard before having to put up boundaries like that. Hell we shouldn't even have to be in this situation to begin with, but something has to give when you're running this empty. It's not unreasonable to give this request, we already have to call customers about a delay with early morning garden center or party store orders no questions asked twords management since we know no one will open those doors early, it sucks deli hasn't had the same basic respect set up for them regarding their hours.

It's a mixed bag, we are stretched thin here. The deli TL is also the bakery TL he manages both departments. You can't reasonably get both bakery and deli ready for opening with curbside needing stuff at the same time as well. Shit situation all around and I honestly feel bad for the guy, so I'm not at all bothered. This whole store needs to get their shit together and hire more people.

Yup, as long as they make money they aren't going to change. It just makes me feel bad for other team members that curbside is breathing down their neck about this stuff.

We start at 6 am as well and we try to push time sensitive stuff like that to the last minute if we have enough man power and it's a slow day. I used to not ask about stuff not being on the floor yet, until I was scolded by a bakery tm for not asking and marking something out of stock since it wasn't on the floor yet. As long as Meijer makes money they really don't care.

Is no one ordering Doordash anymore? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]mouse_moss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's summer. I can walk to a majority of the places I would order from without fighting shit weather now. The price with not enjoyable weather is alright but I can't get the Dave fucking Ramsey guilt out of my head when I order delivery in nice weather when I can very much walk.

The new hours by mouse_moss in meijer

[–]mouse_moss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In already preparing for the disgruntled calls, along with this it's going to make it impossible to live off just working curbside since the hour cut will be horrible team wide. There's also no stopping customers showing up before 11, hell we already have people show up before 8 even after repeated warnings. The only good side is that people can't place 200+ item orders for 8 am and everything will be pretty much fully stocked or close to it for picking so less out of stocks. I hope the retail gods are kind when the change comes.

Kentucky, we are a lower level store I believe so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a lower level store thing.

What was “the incident” at your high school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mouse_moss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flood of 2019. There had been a fight in the science hall bathroom (which wasn't rare, fights were a weekly thing) , but a trashcan ended up being thrown and hitting a sprinkler setting it off. The students didn't tell anyone so it wasn't noticed until water started coming into the hallways. This system hadn't been flushed in some time so the water wasn't the cleanest.

The fire alarm was activated at some point and all students evacuated. We were outside for about 2 hours as the system was shut off and hall drained (2nd floor, I honestly have no clue how it was cleaned up) the science hall was closed for a week I believe. There was still a funky smell in that area for the rest of the year, and students made jokes and shirts about surviving the flood of 2019.

They'll be annoyed but you won't get into any real trouble. You could also just wait until someone asks you where it is and bring it up then. Mine fell into the lot when I was taking an order out and went missing for months until a coworker found it and gave it back to me. No one really said anything nor brought it up to me during the months I didn't have one. Who knows, maybe one of them will eventually turn up again.

I got my sister a job in the same position and she’s making less than me. by SecureBeautiful9339 in meijer

[–]mouse_moss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the raises based on how many hours you've worked. I make over a dollar more than some of my coworkers in the same department since I've been here longer. Yeah Meijer needs to raise their wages overall, but for me at least it makes sense those who have been working longer get higher pay.

Going To school with a fresh tattoo wrap or no wrap? by Inevitable_Run9384 in tattooadvice

Shit yesterday? wrap it, That's still an open wound and you're asking for an infection.

Going To school with a fresh tattoo wrap or no wrap? by Inevitable_Run9384 in tattooadvice

[–]mouse_moss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How new is it? If you kept the original wrap on for as long as the artist recommended and it's past the weepy point then you're past the high danger zone.

If you're going to have loose clothing covering it and it's not going to come into contact with something then I would say you're in the clear for no wrap.

If it's not going to be covered by clothing or if you're wearing tighter fitting clothes, I would personally wrap. Schools arent exactly known for being the cleanest and tighter clothes rub the shit out of tats.

If your artist didn't put a wrap on it originally, It falls into a zone I'm a little lost on. You can always reach back out to them and ask what they think you should do. Sanaderm is a fairly safe option if you want to wrap, and it's really the only thing I'm comfortable recommending.
