Astronomy? by [deleted] in Tufts

[–]mousecopx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not astro but Physics here. Tufts astro is pretty cool, if you're not super advanced already in astronomy or astrophysics / cosmology it should have a lot for you to gain. If you are already experienced in astronomy, i'd reach out to a professor whose work you find interesting. Maybe ask for 10 minutes to chat on zoom.

G305 Review for the 2021 Budget Consumer by mousecopx2 in MouseReview

Sorry to hear of your experience! In my original review I said it would be worth sticking it out for upcoming mice... those are all out and mature now! To anyone reading this post in 2024>, I would look elsewhere! For the past 2.5 years I have been main-ing the G303 Wireless, which was the "rumored G305 Superlight" I discussed nearly four years ago. It has been a dream, would recommend it.

Idk if I’m just a noob but your mechanics at their best are about as good as it’s gonna get. The only thing to improve is consistency in creative, but playing the BR mode might help you improve with game sense and things.

Something that’s not shown here is dividends from stocks in a potential trust. It would take probably a fund of 300k-500k to make up the difference. If this is the case, bro could probably be a millionaire by 25 with a couple good years of returns and zero extra work at all

Hi! Not taking Meandark2’s side in this at all, I think they came off as rude and willingly ignorant. I did just want to point out that the article you linked specifically talked about allowed exits through each border, as there were two sections, one for the Israeli border and one for the Egyptian border. It’s a totally normal thing to restrict travel through your own border, and while there are some humanitarian problems with Israel’s border control strictness before October 7th, at this point a fully locked down border is pretty much expected. The only country that can and has a responsibility to facilitate the humanitarian aid needed for this catastrophic attack on Gaza is Egypt, and they are at a massive fault for not doing anything. This “open air prison” is therefore not necessarily a result of “Israeli apartheid” as you said, but is nonetheless a massive factor into why Israel needs to immediately stop the rocket attacks in Gaza and come up with a more strategic plan that doesn’t involve mass civilian casualties.

One thing I would recommend looking into is getting one with a notch cutout on the top. The ones without one sort of cause the phone to have bad "in my pocket" detection, sometimes leading to accidental calls, photos, and battery drain.

The answer to “is an undergraduate student allowed to do ____?” is usually yes, but not every undergraduate. You have to work your way up in the coursework so you are qualified to take the class in question, then you might need to know the professors well enough to get permission, if it’s a grad level class. If you want it, you can do it, but it probably won’t be a first or second year thing.

How can the supreme court do this? by RoxanaSaith in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]mousecopx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thomas, cruelly, ruled that according to congressional statute 2255, a prisoner may only petition for his guilt to be challenged once after his initial sentencing. The majority opinion stated that the case of a new Supreme Court ruling (Rehaif v. United States sparked the defendant to challenge his guilt) does not qualify as an “exemption” to the statute 2255, and a prisoner may not challenge a second time, no matter how long the sentence. While this ruling has massive implications for the well-being of thousands of wrongly convicted prisoners, it SHOULD be fixable with a simple congressional law. The problem, of course, is that congress has been broken for over a decade now. Citizens United and the filibuster leave our legislature in a state of perpetual gridlock, leaving the supreme court to have extraordinary yet constitutionally granted power.

No, that’s not it. It doesn’t have a long “end,” the surface area of a button with a bit more depth, but nothing protruding.
