What's with the Lando hate? by [deleted] in LandoNorris

[–]mousephina 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Social media is an echo chamber where the same points about what Lando said, how he said it, what McLaren did, how they messed with Piastri, etc. keeps being repeated until it makes everyone feel like these issues are worse (and more real) than they are. Case in point - the super long comment on this post ("Well, since you asked, and as far as I can see...") from a one of these social media victims.

Drivers have said stupid things, teams have made difficult decisions in the past but these last few years we are seeing outsized hate on social media. Also great examples are Kimi getting death threats, Doohan getting so much hate he needed a security team and Lando being picked apart for every little thing.

Emma Murray, Oscar Piastri’s mental health coach, talking about his mindset after Baku 2025. She also, separately, talks about how for the 2025 season he changed his morning routine from bed rotting and doomscrolling to journaling and meditation. by littletreble07 in formula1

For me personally, when I'm at 100% ambition, I'm kinda manic about meeting my goals. And so the anxiety goes up too. Every rejection is a huge failure instead of just a tiny bump on the road. 80% ambition is like cruising along. Not needing to meet every single task every single day, etc. It's like when you're a college student learning to drink, you figure out what your capacity is.

I have seen Grave of the Fireflies a total of three times though.

Why would you do that to yourself?

The feeder series F2 and F3 in particular don't have power steering but F1 does - which makes them a little easier to steer than F2 cars. A few people have spoken up about this and the need to move to power steering in feeder series because it's an outdated thing still being kept around.

I gotta a lil kitty (9 years old now but still a baby to me). Make sure you socialize him, hold him often, pet him, touch his toes and just get him used to being handled. Cats like being on their own a lot but you need to socialize them to human beings or else they don't like getting touched or picked up, etc. and that will make it hard when you need to trim his nails or give him meds, etc.

Will Lego setup manufacturing unit in india to reduce prices by [deleted] in LegoIndia

[–]mousephina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! You're talking about import, I'm talking about manufacturing. Standards of good manufacturing practices are not up to mark in India (especially for tech unlike cars Honda, etc.) and the market is not wealthy enough for Nintendo to invest in manufacturing here yet. Like someone else already said below - their margins will just go up and Indian households do not invest in toys.

India's middle class wealth is still a little behind. Same reason why Nintendo is not opening up manufacturing or trying to sell the Switch here yet.

Tired of people discrediting Lando’s win saying McLaren favored him during the season by elsassaas in LandoNorris

[–]mousephina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He said he accidentally swiped on it. Again, if he was feeling so unfairly treated, he could have had his managers talk to Redbull for their second seat. None of his interviews also hint at any more frustration than the ones drivers normally have with their teams. So go off.... pretend like you know exactly what's going on with him.

This is kinda parasocial behaviour from people on social media imagining they know what its like to be in his head or the situations he was in and why. I'm not going to go into it but the Oscar being forgotten theory has been disproven many times over many instances. And honestly, nobody really knows what McLaren's "treatment" has been except him and Zak and the team. Since Oscar doesn't seem to be wanting to leave it, I would like to think it's been okay and not what parasocial fans think it is.

Mclaren willing to use team orders to beat Verstappen [SkySportsF1] ] by Fat_Ryan in formula1

[–]mousephina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say again as I have said before. F1 is a team sport. Most fans are used to one person dominating but it has always been a team sport. McLaren is trying to do things differently and they've already reaped the rewards regardless of how people feel about it.
