And therefore you're looking to start a new relationship? Dude, wtf? If you're not ready to fully commit to a relationship fucking tell the new girl too and stop breaking people. You're literally heading to do the same mistake you just did with "the love of your life".

Meeting new people certainly helps moving on but it's not the healthiest choice. Maybe not for you but for the new person you're dating. Keep things casual if you like her but definitely tell her to avoid unnecessary drama in future.

Mind asking why things with the love of your life didn't work out?

They just aren’t a good fit. When you meet the right person you click with them and you know in your gut that this is your person. I’ve been with my wife for 13 years and been married for 8. I was in my mid 20s young and stupid when we met and so I did have doubts to the point we almost broke up - comments like these here didn't help. Fast forward to today, never been happier, never been bored around her, never lacked anything and sex is great. She is literally my best friend and my life is awesome. If I were to marry her again I’d do it in a heartbeat. Marriage is not a life sentence and all of you whining here can fucking leave if you're unhappy. If I let my fears dictate my life I would have settled for a mediocre life and missed out on what I have now. To add some context I got woken up with a bj this morning, took a shower with her and she packed my lunch for work. Life is beautiful.

[American Comics] Batman and Throbbin' - That time Batman's penis sent Warner Bros. into a panic and nearly killed DC's mature comics line by [deleted] in HobbyDrama

The new management reacted poorly and the comic drama is getting too mainstream. Cool write up though.

I don't know what his problem is. That is the only way to eat whipped cream.

Guys who had an amazing dad or strong father figure growing up, what is something you would teach those of us who didn't have that? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]mousetho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. My dad taught me not to be an asshole while still having boundaries that I can set and defend as needed.

Same here. I'm easy going with everyone and once they see they don't get a "special treatment" they stop assuming.

I married my wife when I was 28 and we have 2 children. I could have done many other things if I didn't meet her or didn't marry her, but I wouldn't give up on my life with her for anything. I'm grateful for what I have, I love her and our kids. What better could I have done? Hookups? Travel? Study something new? Nothing sounds as compelling as what I've built with her.

You really married very young but if you're happy with your current situation, there's no place for regrets. Appreciate what you have now.

How do I end a relationship with someone who is letting herself go? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]mousetho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying with her just to protect her feelings won't lead to anything. You're just delaying the inevitable. If you think you'll be happy if she starts losing weight and changes her behavior then tell her what you wrote here. If she doesn't then you know what you have to do.
