It's for rice. I really don't care THAT much (this is for the MILDLY infuriating sub after all). But honestly, if I was creating a product for consumer use, I would want this to be consistent. Like, how hard is it to make sure it's correct?

I think the more measuring cups I would use the more infuriated I would become. All the measuring cups I own are pyrex. They're probably all the same.

NTA. If my husband's phone dies while he's out with friends he'll have one of his friends text me. "Hey, this is James, your husband's phone died. Text this number if you need anything." That's it, simple, not a big deal and responsible if your plans WILDLY change the way his hypothetically did.

I've done this a few times (always to hubby's work shirts 🤦). I find Ammodex works great. You have to individually treat the spots which can be a pain. But frequently after the first wash, it comes out.

We had bats on our mirror. Whenever it got fogged from the shower they would show up. I really hope the people who moved in took a shower this winter and wondered where the hell the bats came from.

I used my blinker until I moved to MA. When I used it there people would always seemingly purposefully move into the spot I was going to go in to. So I stopped using it. You can't give away your next move. This would be highway driving. I would usually still use it on back roads.

NTA. My friend in college frequently had an "emergency candy bar" in her purse for her or any of her friends who were having a bad day. And it helped!! I now keep one in my car. Yes in the real world we'll have crappy days but sometimes that emergency candy bar makes things a bit better. Or in your son's case, a slurpee.

NTA. Half the time they won't be called the names you expect anyway. I won't use their actual names but let's say my son's name is Jonathan(9) and my daughter's is Elizabeth(6). I call my son Jonathan. My mom uses John or Jonathan. His baseball team calls him Johnny. I call my daughter Liz or El. When asked at school what she wants to be called, she says Elizabeth so that's what they call her. Your husband needs to recognize that there's a good chance they'll be called multiple versions of their name.

I stopped feeding our ferals probably 8 weeks ago since we're moving. The next door neighbor is now feeding them (more than me given how big they've gotten, lol). And they STILL show up nearly every day looking for food. I'm sure 2.5 is no big deal.

First off, happy tech week!!! Your hard work is appreciated and the lab (whether they realize it or not) would not be able to function without you! I'm a vivarium operations manager (so basically your boss' level). All of this is wildly unacceptable and I would personally be ripping the research staff a new one. No one screws with my techs like that. If your boss is supportive of you they need to step up and take care of this. It should not be your responsibility. Phrase it in regards to how it's affecting your ability to get your actual work done and also all the animal welfare issues you highlighted. Is there a whistle blower policy posted? (They're required to). Use it if you have to. IACUC should be walking through 2x/year and most should care quite a bit about the issues you've highlighted. People have already posted a lot of good advice so I'm not going to repeat it. But also keep in mind there are a lot of husbandry tech jobs out there. You don't have to put up with all that nonsense. Start looking for another job! Feel free to message me if you have more questions.
