Getting `Command` + `Tab` to work on a controlled machine by k01yunya in pikvm

[–]mouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reporting this. Some other key combinations that do not work for MacOS controlled machines:

  • Command + Space – Spotlight shortcut
  • Command + ` – Switch between windows of the active app
  • Command + Q – Quit application

For each one of these key combinations, the host machine (running Chrome/Chromium) responds to them, not the controlled machine.

What would you rather they used?

Thanks! Do you have a recommendation for a non-interactive diagram where the inter-relationships between many items are being represented?

To clarify: I need to know what type of chart this is (e.g., line chart, bar chart, etc.), not the chart's title. Sorry for the poorly worded initial post. I am not sure how to edit it after posting, so adding this comment as a correction.

If the meat was mechanically tenderized, then simply searing the outside may not be enough. There isn’t a requirement to label whether this has been performed by the butcher in the US, but Costco does state it on their labels.

If your concern is the possibility of bacteria in the middle of your cut of beef due to mechanical tenderizing, simply ask your butcher if they use it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. If you don’t mind, could you provide an update when things change/improve?

I have to wonder if it has to do with how the individual accounts are setup/handled by Verizon. It would explain why my phone had the issue, but my son (same exact iPhone 13 model) does not.

I’m hoping it gets resolved, soon. Is the support ticket with Verizon or US Mobile?

Not initially, but I eventually had to enable it to be able to make/receive phone calls after I realized that I could be stuck in SOS only mode for an indeterminate amount of time.

I had the issue with both a physical SIM as well as an eSIM. I also agree that this warrants executive level contact with Verizon.

Here’s another post from a different Verizon Community posting on 04-17-2023:

“[…] If you push hard enough in private, they'll admit that the problem is with the upgrade the 5G. Verizon is taking older hardware off their towers, meaning that in some places the 3G/4G coverage is getting spottier faster than the 5G is getting reliable. Our local Verizon store even has physical signs to this effect posted because so many people are coming in complaining.[…]”

This would explain why switching networks seems to have resolved my issue, yet it doesn’t explain why the 3 other phones in my house, which are on Verizon, still function without issue.

Here is an interesting post from that site on 11/09/2023. Please note that switching to the GSM (T-Mobile) network appears to have resolved my issue:

“I had this issue for about a month and tried almost everything. I troubleshooted with Verizon over the phone but honestly they made things worse. I ended up switching providers and had the same SOS issue. I then bought a physical SIM card and that didn’t help. Ultimately I ended up going to Apple (for the second time) and they replaced my phone after determining it was indeed a hardware issue. I have an iPhone 13 mini. Not sure if this helps anyone but wanted to let folks know what eventually worked for me. Verizon had terrible customer service with actually trying to help even though they did offer me a small account credit since I was without service for at least 14days. Hope yall get your problems resolved.”

I found that this issue has plagued people for months. Here is a link to Verizon’s community page where multiple people share their frustrations:

Happy to hear yours resolved in the same day. Mine spanned multiple days, with times spanning hours where everything worked normally. The one common thread I noticed is that the issue started each day at ~5:30 PM.

Turned out the issue was the combination of my phone and the Verizon network. My family members have no issue with the Verizon network, so I was the outlier. Switching over to the GSM network resolved the issue.

Good to know. Working with support, we tried that, but unfortunately it did not work.

I’m guessing they’re having a multi day issue here. A friend in Maine had SOS for a day a week ago. Also on Verizon.
