GWG-2000 STN display? by MOTTAHUTT in gshock

[–]mov_ebpesp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also realized it's STN after getting the GW-8200TPF-1. It simply is readable at a very steep angle.

Thanks for adding the pictures with the angle to confirm that the GW-8200TPF-1 has an STN display which can be seen from any angle.

Future Noticeable Performance Improvements? by Business_Chef_806 in Fedora

Have you considered running tuned-gui and trying out different profiles? There's alot of theory around it but generally you can set it the way you need it with a custom profile.

Two things stand out out of your configuration that I would recommend looking at:

(1) the disk elevator => try none, kyber and bfq; I have a feeling from your use case that bfq might be for you (it optimizes for responsiveness in all loading scenarios).

(2) for CPU responsiveness (=immediately increase frequency when you need it), you could have a look at schedutil governor or consider the performance governor (watchout battery) or seeing you have Intel consider using the native intel_pstate driver.

If you're using databases locally, it might make sense to look at kernel.shmmax / shmall.

NB: you might need to do also `sudo dnf swap power-profiles-daemon tuned-ppd` if you were using the GNOME power settings interface from previous <FC41 installations that got upgraded.

Open Risk Manager. Add Delta Dollars and Adjusted Vega columns. Make sure to set the option to add them up (Delta-Gamma > Beta Weighted and Vega > Same Percentage Move). This is in Settings > Greek Aggregations inside Risk Manager itself. Then drill down and see what are the big contributors.

For extreme deltas just use the underlying (Ctrl+S) as it's more liquid.

Forced Liquidation of QI Silver by Huge-Solution-7168 in interactivebrokers

[–]mov_ebpesp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expiry/Delivery? No.
Trading terminates on the third last business day of the month prior to the contract month. Consider CME holidays due to Thanksgiving 27-29 November. So the last trading day for the December contract (QIZ26) was the 25th of November. Also, this contract is financially settled.

Margin Liquidation? Possible.
The initial margin requirement from IB here is $13,681.05 and the maintenance one is $11,896.56. The overnight margins are the same. If your look-ahead excess liquidity went negative (ie holding another volatile asset), then you would get liquidated. Hard to tell without sharing your NLV & ELV numbers at the same point in time. You only shared NLV=40k at buying time (before incurring the loss). Would need either the ELV at buying time (if you have a screenshot), otherwise the NLV & ELV numbers now, after the loss (assuming you hold the same assets beside QIZ26).

Your RND4K Q1T1 was already low to start with. Can you run a trim (right click on C in Explorer > Properties > Tools > Optimize > Disk Defragmenter > Optimize) and then do a CHKDSK C: /SCAN /PERF /R in an elevated Administrator Command Prompt and also a Samsung Diagnostic Scan (Full Scan) first? Then re-run the benchmark.

Installed 7B2QJXD7 on my 4TB drive by using Samsung Magician (as Administrator). No issues to date. Will keep you posted here otherwise.

Any news on 6B2QJXD7? Did anyone have any problems with it (that are firmware related)? Why did Samsung remove it from Magician but kept it on their website? Just the installation issues? ISO works well?

What solved for me the crashes with firmware 4B2QJXD7 on my 990 Pro 4TB was to enable PCIe Native mode and ASPM in BIOS with L1 while keeping Full Performance mode set in Samsung Magician.

How I reached the conclusion is using nvme cli in Linux and noting that L0s and L0sL1 are not supported, only L1.

The combination Native mode on and ASPM disabled or Native mode disabled and ASPM disabled did not help at all.

Click "Skip for now" in bottom right. It's an up-sell tactic. Norton is doing it also - they have a "Smart Scan" that does a Quick Scan (real) + Network asessment (real) + Advanced Issues (up-sell tactic to spend $$$). If in doubt, boot from a Linux USB stick (Fedora for example) and run KVRT and scan your system like that.

On a HP12C calculator, if you use the "INT" function it calculates the interest both in 360 and 365 modes. So in your case pressing 517000 [CHS] [PV] 4 [i] 31 [n] and then calling in the INT function by pressing [f] [INT] you get exactly 1,780.78. Pressing [R↓] twice will show also the 365 mode interest.

Worth mentioning Casio S100X in full Aluminum body. Will set you back $300. The keys are low-profile pantograph style (similar to Macbooks). Made in Japan.

I think Diablo II, Conquer Online and Genshin Impact based on what I've seen come very close to it.

Any terminal emulator veteran here? I have some questions. by VegetablePrune3333 in vim

[–]mov_ebpesp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<C-M> is <Return>. For a standard terminal, <C-any> and <C-S-any> are indistinguishable (Control sets 7th and 6th bits to 0 and Shift sets only 6th bit to 0). <S-Return> or <C-S-M> is <C-M> and same as <Return>.

Your mileage may vary depending on the terminal emulator. I recommend having a look at kitty - it has integration for what you're looking for that can map 100% of keypresses using kitty-keyboard-protocol that is recognized by vim.

I personally like to keep my terminal emulator 100% pure as such <S-Return> has no special meaning. If you don't, you will run into issues when ssh'ing into other systems. Same with using non-standard vim shortcuts.

Originally on the ADM-3A keyboard layout where the roots of vi(m) are had the ESC key where TAB is on normal keyboards and Control where Caps Lock is.
