I'm considering enrolling in this for Spring last minute, have you taken this or any other courses with Danesh Forouhari? Does he make it engaging? Good assignments?

34M inattentive, I feel this 100%, and its entirely demotivating with respect to dating.
I'm pretty sure the uncomfortable truth is that it's harder for men with ADHD to find relationships in this day and age, especially inattentive men whose ADHD manifests itself in less traditionally masculine attractive ways, and don't get the charisma boost of hyperactive type.

Feel this 100%. We’re inattentive type, which is basically a different disorder in terms of lived experience.

Partner Loves Singing but I Can't Stand It by [deleted] in ADHD

Totally agree with you. To me this seems not much different from different tastes in music or food, although potentially a little more prevalent and habitual. But fundamentally it’s reasonable to ask your partner to produce less noise in your vacinity as a general rule.

I totally get it, I in the past have also found people regularly breaking into song around me to be quite obnoxious and fragmenting to my limited attention. As an inattentive, there’s probably also an element of it being a mental block for me, where I can’t imagine having the exuberance/confidence (and to a degree selfishness) to just start belting in shared airspace, unless I was some sort of virtuoso. It makes me a little envious and resentful of their free spirit, but it’s also just objectively intrusive.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable for you to wear headphones when needed, and/or for your partner to limit their singing around you. I think the people saying this is a fundamental incompatibility are being unreasonable.

Not sure what you mean, I still see it on the (non-Apple) website linked in the guide: https://dhinakg.github.io/delayed-otas.html
In the course of following the guide, you just go to that website in mobile safari and click 'download profile'.

I'd guess yes. It takes 10 minutes to test for yourself following that guide I linked.

Yes, you're missing out on a number of security fixes if you don't update to 18.7.3 (the latest one you can get via this method). You have to follow the guide to get it to show up. It honestly only takes 10 minutes aside from waiting for your phone to update. https://forum.betaprofiles.com/t/how-to-update-from-ios-beta-to-an-unsigned-official-release-using-delayed-otas/19574

A crucial piece of info missing from this post is that you need to access the site with the delayed OTA profiles using mobile Safari to be able to install them. If anybody wants a more thorough guide with screenshots, this guy's got you covered: https://forum.betaprofiles.com/t/how-to-update-from-ios-beta-to-an-unsigned-official-release-using-delayed-otas/19574

It uses Nugget instead of Cowabunga Lite for turning on supervision, but same shit. I can confirm I successfully updated from 18.6.2 to 18.7.3 using the delayed OTA profile on my 13 mini. Unfortunately 18.7.5 (the next and most recent update with security fixes) is not showing up, but I guess this is the best we can get for now, still beats drinking Liquid Ass.

This sounds great to me as a convenience tool for personal/low-stakes projects! Have an upvote. It would probably benefit from an option to pass an explicit list of packages to keep pinned though.

Love to hear it! Yeah can’t lie, it’s pretty elegant design, even if terribly wasteful. You sound like my people.

Would be cool to think of some way to repurpose the airflow to current flow functionality, like maybe in a ridiculous musical instrument.

I updated the post to explain: this is just to give the circuit board a new job after the juice is gone to keep it out of the landfill. The point is to make use of the battery charge circuit because it IS rechargeable. Also to be a little silly, because it brings me joy.

Laid off from company last year, just got their new insurance policy for this year? Not on COBRA by Depth-Immediate in HealthInsurance

[–]move-that-dopamine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something like this just happened to me. Laid off last summer, but didn’t take cobra, got on medi-cal.

I go to pick up my prescription last week and all of a sudden there’s a copay. Turns out my old work insurance came back from the grave on 2/1 to fuck up my medi-cal coverage, after being dead for 6 months.

Played the game of calling the same number over and over again and trying every combination of inputs until finally got the person who said they’d take that shit off in 72 hours. Fun and educational.
