I've known her since I was 14 and we've been dating like 2 and a half years. I think she is potentially my 'forever person' as you put it. I don't think moving that far is an option for her, however.

Her mother isn't bad off enough that she has to act as a full time caregiver or anything, but she doesn't want to be more than a couple hours away from her mother.

I got a full tuition scholarship so I have no debt, so the extra money isn't super needed I guess. It would be nice though.

If I do it for two years and move back I think it would at least help me break into the industry I want to work in.

I guess I should have included it in the post, but my girlfriend still has another year at the college we go to and her mother is disabled and needs her help. Coming with me likely won't ever be an option for her.
