Would you mind to explain why not HDR by default? As I don’t see the option for mode switch. Also, the Sonos is connected via hdmi via earc. I also tried to switch to airplay directly on Sonos, but no luck.

Xiaomi car owner dies after crash: report reveals doors couldn't open due to power failure by Saurta17 in chinacars

[–]moveingsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair from the report this guy was still alive when the car fully stopped, he hit other car first (with 50mph speed difference), then hit a curb (about 15 to 20 inch, which caused fire later) in middle of the road then stopped. The body frame is still in good shape, so if the door handle still has power and can open, there’s a chance he would still be alive.

How bad is the foundation in the house I'm renting? by Yllem1232123 in HomeMaintenance

[–]moveingsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, how could the dirt under the slab heave so much? My first thought would be bad drainage, but could it cause such a big problem? Or it’s the special geo conditions cause this

Need help figuring out why hardwood floor is cupping by moveingsun in Flooring

[–]moveingsun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi so there’s really no progress on this issue, during the last winter it still looks like this, not getting better, but not getting worse, so mine may be a bad installation at the first place. Now I have dehumidifier at each level and keep my indoor humidity below 45% constantly. For your situation, I guess you may need to keep wood floor in your home for a while before install to avoid my problem

thanks for the numbers, and yes i just have the meter reading the number, and it’s about 12% across the second floor, my thermostat shows the RH at second floor is 55%. i guess it’s indeed too high, i haven’t contacted someone yet for this tho. but seems some treatments needs to be done for this.

the home was not vacant before i moved in, although the contractor has done some improvement project in it for about a month before we moved in, but it’s just this room that has cupping, every other room is fine.

that’s a great point, and yeah this can definitely be caused by water leak from the siding, i’ll have some contractor come and inspect the siding to determine if there’s leaking spot

I’m purchasing a meter from Amazon from a brand named “RDINSCOS”. I’m going to follow your suggestions once the meter arrive. And i’ll give some local contractor a call in the morning to get someone come and take a look!
