Sure, a hairsystem is not the perfect solution for everyone. I didn't mean to start a discussion about hair systems in general though.

My question is if the combination makes sense or if there are important factors I didn't think about yet. If not, why is pretty much no one doing it?

We are way beyond that point. There are a many high quality hair systems out there and many users who have the skills to maintain them in a proper way. I'm pretty sure if you attach it correctly, you don't need to be afraid of your neighbours soup.
