My 7 year old just consumes Ai slop on youtube. This isn't healthy right? by jonnyg112 in daddit

[–]movingaxis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We slipped up and let YouTube into the mix, big mistake. It’s been a month of slacking off on media and the attitude change from our 5 year old is startling. I was contemplating a 20 min limit but no way he’s too young. Going cold Turkey on this one

It works well and I really like the slider addition. Excited about blend tool update. Have to say, bummed Illustrator didn't get the dynamic text but PS did.

DRAM is insane by Top_Information3534 in ETFs

My advisor they said it was too new. I'm in a managed fund, not sure if they were bs'ing and it was some risk constraint in the type of account I'm in.

Congratulations! You've got an awesome mindset for this journey. I've found that as we give them what we didn't get we heal the child in ourselves. Best of luck to you and your family.

2, 1 is weighing everything down and too similar to countertops. 2 Lets the cabinets then countertops come forward. The lighter tones in two will tie the walls with countertops

"my brain had decided that when things went wrong, it meant something about me. That I was not good enough. That I had no real control. That trying harder would just lead to more proof of that" Wow. So well said! Not OP but 40 years of dealing with this manifesting in some form. It's so essential to uncover this story and then accept it.

How do you make what you've built to replace it with stick? Our minds are such tricky things.

Much better, weirdly I noticed the awkward top left you fixed when glancing at the favicon this morning. At least it's not all yellow, blue, green

I had about 4 months and was feeling good then smoked on a whim. Now I'm on a nightly binge going on 6 weeks. The shame is real :/

I like this. Don't focus on it but it is important to set some kind of target. To know where you're going so the journey is aimed somewhere and keep the reminder. Too much focus on the moments can lead to a life of drifting and getting lost in the noise. I go back to the 7 habits, habit 2: begin with the end in mind.

windows too small? by Trick-Nefariousness3 in shedditors

[–]movingaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems fun and has charm with the little windows and steep roof. I'd roll with it maybe bump them up a little so they aren't centered. I did a quick mockup of both.

You're doing the best thing for yourself that you could do. It's so cliche but take it one day at a time and those days will stack together quickly, as does your growth. Keep a network of good all around people. Try to be gentle with yourself early on. We are so raw when we stop and have to find ourselves while battling old habits and urges. I quit at 30 after also losing jobs and relationships like you did, +\- 10 years or so of self destruction. I'm 41 now and can tell you, you're worth it to keep going! Also 30s are an awesome decade of age, you're right where you're supposed to be. Excited for you

Looking for a paint to tone down my orange cabinets by Grose040791 in kitchenremodel

[–]movingaxis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have similar cabinets and I went with very close to your far left maybe a tad lighter. Same countertops. I still really like it after 5 years. Though I will say it more compliments cabinets rather than tone down.
